Maybe
It's hard to believe your work is worth the time and effort when not even a regional conference wants to see it or hear about it.
Maybe it's harder to believe that just because I put something out there, does not mean it will (or maybe should) be paid attention too. Or that the academic community cares.
Maybe I've been fooling myself that the caliber of what I'm doing is even presentable in the academic forum (which is a hard pill to swallow, considering the first time I did this I had no problem). Maybe I just have to be more articulate.
