There's cows in 'em thar hills....
So I actually was forced to leave my study site today because the cows were pissy. They came at us from the hills. They came at us from the south. They approached from all sides on a number of occasions. One even accosted my stuff. I thought a few times we were going to be charged. The bulls were no less pissy than the cows. And lets not forget those horns. And they were LOUD. Periodically we were force to stop what we were doing, and sit diminutively on the ground, heads down, quietly until they were satisfied that we were not a threat. The armadillos had freer range than we did. Eventually we just decided to leave.
Can't say I wasn't mumbling the whole time under my breath about the big juicy hamburger I was gonna have for lunch after all that....

Does anyone know of a decent cow repellent? I thought about a bullhorn but I don't think that's really a good idea since we're on foot. And they're bigger than us. And faster. And loud noises make them mad.
