The Camarilla

Dear friends in the Camarilla,

It has been a long and hard decision to make. Not one that I've made lightly. I've had a lot of fun with everyone throughout the years, and I want everyone to know that I appreciate every one of you. You've made the club fun for me.

Anyone who's followed my many, many emails over all the lists I've been a part of, I've always said one thing: The club is about having fun. If you're not having fun, and the ability to correct that is something you cannot affect, it's time to leave.

I'm not having fun anymore. I feel that the club has taken a turn for the worse over the last few years. I've seen many corporate decisions made at the behest of the members. I've seen more groups start to form that appear to be a rehash of the "old boys network" behind the old camarilla.

This is not to say I'm gone for good. But I need to take a break. I dont know how long it will be, nor do I know whether or not I'll come back. But I'll be taking this time to reflect on my involvement in the club.

You may see me post on lists. You may see me show up to an occasional game. But it'll likely be when I've got nothing else to do.

Worry not, my friends, the Cam-Wiki will be maintained. I wont let that go. I still run this for you, often out of pocket.

I apologize to anyone who has involved RP with one of my PCs. I hate to let that go, but do whatever you think is appropriate given the circumstances. I just cannot be motivated to play right now. It feels like a chore to me.

Good luck to all my friends. I'm always available on gtalk, email and by phone.

Dan
