Two days until Kent gets here!
CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!!!
Indy is helping by being a complete butt and knocking things off tables for any attention, even if it's bad. These are the days I wish he were a normal dog so I could take him to either puppy day care ... or get another puppy for him to play with ;)
Ah yes, things that would absolutely help me get the house cleaned and ready for a guest. At least the sun is shining and ALL the windows are open!

Aside from relatives and your spouse, can you name the person from your friends list you've known (in person -- in real life) the longest? If so, copy and paste this as your status, along with their name. Do it without looking!
It's got to be Jill Crawford or Connie Fake Casey. I'm not actually sure who came first ;) Jill deciding I was sitting with her at lunch or Connie and I searching out our evil twin (still not sure which of us is the evil one).

Edit to add that Brad and Ariana can't be too far behind. I found the babysitting notice on the board at church shortly after moving to Texas. It's possible I actually met these two first.

Dreams of ghosts looking for true love ... wtf brain?
***
Daniel: we're all just ghosts wearing earth suits. and there is no greater quest than the quest for true love.
Mor Gan: Everyone deserves true love ... even in death.
Courtney Ross:i Awwwww.... you're a romantic!!
Sigrid Wilde: Read "The Mercy of Thin Air"

Brad and Zoe are arguing over who's soul is blacker. Since Brad's is as "black as a trillion midnights" Zoe's trying to come up with something even darker. Meanwhile I'm over here like ... puking glitter.

Super excited because my park ranger shirt came in the mail today. Brad then says He's going to be a park ranger.
M: You don't get to be everything! You get to be Bradimus Hunt you can't be a Park Ranger too! I"M the Park Ranger!!!
B: Fine. Whatever. Zoe what are you going to be?
Zoe ... straight faced with no hesitation: A Disappointment.
I love 15 year old sarcasm.

Kent quote of the day: "500£ for a station lamp?! Someone's got money coming out their gazotch."

Sigrid Wilde Top 5 Places you've visited.
1. Iceland - all of it. I could spend years there and still not see enough.
2. Yellowstone - Pretty sure a part of my heart will always be lost in that canyon.
3. Inside a pyramid in Egypt!
4. Mürren Switzerland - most relaxing place ever.
5. Indianapolis Childrens Museum - SO many fantastic memories! Best Museum Ever!
Aaron Cherrington Songs
I honestly don't think it's physically possible for me to pick just 5 favorite songs. There are too many I listen to on repeat forever. It depends on the day, the weather, the dreams I had the night before. Picking only 5 would hurt.
Here are 5 songs that are constantly on repeat at some point or another.
Barenaked Ladies: Blame it on me
Tori Amos: Silent all these years
Incubus: Drive
Ani DiFranco: School Night
Big Audio Dynamite: Planet Bad
And I'm currently obsessed with Agnes Obel
Aaron Cherrington pictures you took
Do you have any idea what you just did to me?!!!
Dianna Dodson Top 5 books that touched your heart
In no particular order:
1. My Side of the Mountain. I think this was the first book that really sucked me in and got me lost in the world being spun with words. I can easily reread this once a year or so and still feel reality slip away. The fact that the story is about a kid running away to live in the forest with animal friends doesn't have anything to do with my personality at all.
2. The Giver. Probably my first step into a lifetime love of dystopian novels. What happens when all choices are made for you? When everyone is happy? When the color is taken from you? It's safe but is it really a life worth living?
3. Brave New World. Not only a continuation of the thought provoking concepts of The Giver but a more adult version of the What Could Happen. This was also a book I fought to have as my junior thesis. I did double the work just to prove it counted as an American Classic.
4. Sylvie and Bruno. Perspective and silliness like only Carroll can provide. An amazing insight into imagination and what the world could be if we just stopped growing up.
5. Breeder: Real-Life Stories from the New Generation of Mothers. As a new Mom I didn't really belong anywhere. I was too young for society norms but not young enough to be a teen mom. I didn't miss the bar scene so I didn't even belong with other 20 year olds. I was kind of lost in a very weird space but it wasn't upsetting - I loved every second of it. This book (and a few like it) helped me to know that I wasn't alone in my choices of cosleeping and extended nursing and just mothering the way I felt it worked best for us.
March 13th
By Texas standards this might not be a big deal. Here - this is a little over 3 hours of driving (that's if you're lucky enough not to get stuck behind a tractor - we had 2). PLUS anytime spent stopping ...at every train depot that hasn't been there for 100 years to take pictures of grass. We left the house at 10am and got back at 16:30.
I Am So Freaking Tired. And now he's talking about what we're having for dinner. Do we have to eat? Is that a thing that has to happen every night? Can't we just skip this one?
AND the stupid castle doesn't even open until April!!! I was tricked into visiting train stations! It's a good thing I find my Step Dad adorable.
March 14th
Anyone interested in setting up a group focused on weight loss/health? I need motivation and I'm thinking if I actually know the people I'll be more willing to not just read about what I should be doing but actually do something.
March 15th
stupid blanket is pissing me off. I now have one less fingernail.
Apparently I need to go back to crochet 101 because I can't keep a straight edge to save my nails.
March 16th
This dog just moved backwards 3 inches because he wasn't close enough where he was.
March 19th
Playing dress up with Zoe.
How crazy is this? !!!
My prom dress is about 3 inches too long. Z has no height.
March 25th
Trying to absorb ALL the vitamin D but Zoe has demanded that I stay fully clothed.
My white white skin wants sunshine! !!
I bet I glow in the dark right now.
March 28th
Woke myself up this morning around 5:45 by scratching the roof of my mouth with my tongue.
Yea Spring!
Brad Moseng here goes the next month of my unfocused benadryl life!
I hate being able to tell time based on when I last took a benadryl.
March 30th
I hate that copy and paste means most of these have a white background but I just don't care enough to go through and fix it all. Welcome to my Lazy World.
