It was not the first time Sungmin felt he’s being left behind.

And it was not the first time that Kyuhyun knew it.

Kyuhyun had long noticed, how hard it is being someone in the middle between the thirteen members group. Kyuhyun had long noticed, how Sungmin tries to balance between his respect to the hyungs and the care for the dongsaengs. Kyuhyun had long noticed, how hard Sungmin tries to keep himself quiet and not mind being left, since there are too many of them, since there are too many other things they need to think about, other than him.

Kyuhyun had known how well Sungmin hides his feeling. He had observed how good of an actor Sungmin is. He had known how strong Sungmin is to prevent all these leaking out.

That’s why, the sight of Sungmin crying alone in his room, was not one of Kyuhyun’s expecting when he returned to his room a bit too early than he should had.

Sungmin looked at him, then quickly wiped his tears away and let out a small smile.

“Hyung, you’re crying,” Kyuhyun said.

“No, I’m not, Kyuhyunnie,” Sungmin snapped. “My eyes hurt, that’s all.”

“You’re lying,” Kyuhyun said accusingly.

“I’m not, kyuhyunnie.”

“Do you want to tell?”

“I’ve told you I’m not crying. There’s nothing to tell anyway.”

“Hyung!”

Kyuhyun stared at the older guy closely. Sungmin avoided his stare and got up, heading straight to the door, ignoring Kyuhyun inside. But the latter grabbed his hand and pulled him back to the bed, then placed a small kiss on the lip. Sungmin threw a glare but said nothing.

“Hyung,” Kyuhyun growled. “You’re feeling neglected, aren’t you?”

“What?” Sungmin’s voice raised. “I am not, and there’s no problem here.”

“Oh, there is, hyung,” Kyuhyun insisted. “Since you are not alone.”

Sungmin’s eyes widened in surprise.

“What do you mean?” he asked.

“Well,” Kyuhyun took a long breath. “It’s been so long since you talk or make some news for the media.”

Sungmin did not respond.

“Do you want to do it, hyung?”

Sungmin threw him a glare.

“Do what, Kyuhyunnie?”

“To stand out. To be in the spotlight.”

“Well...” Sungmin took a long breath and looked at the younger guy, while Kyuhyun just kept silence and he hoped he said nothing wrong. “What do you propose, Kyuhyunnie? To go out and declare our relationship officially? I’m not that cheap, you know.”

“I don’t mean that way-”

“There’s absolutely NO way to sell our relationship just to stand out or to be in the spotlight,” Sungmin spatted. “Or you’re the one who want it, Kyuhyunnie?” Now he’s started getting pissed off.

“That’s not what I meant, hyung.”

A moment of silence. And Kyuhyun thought maybe it would be better if he did not say anything in the first place. The last thing he wants to have is his Sungmin being mad at him. And Kyuhyun thought maybe it would be better if he did not ask anything, or maybe did not get home too early. But it was all too late. He could see now, his hyung was starting to get pissed off.

“Cho Kyuhyun,” Sungmin’s voice getting low. “Tell me now, or I-“

Paused.

Kyuhyun held out his breath. But still, Sungmin did not say anything.

“Yes, hyung?” he asked, hoping nothing’s wrong.

Sungmin shook his head. “Forget it.”

“What is it, hyung?”

“Just forget it,”

Sungmin got up again, only to find himself being pushed back to his bed. And Kyuhyun sat himself on Sungmin’s bed, sitting just beside the older guy.

“I want to go out,” Sungmin protested. And he got up again.

But, again, Kyuhyun pulled him back to the bed.

“I haven’t said anything, hyung,” Kyuhyun growled.

Oh. Okay. “You’re just pissing me off, Cho Kyuhyun,” Sungmin glared angrily. “Can you just keep quiet and let me out?”

“No, hyung, before you say something,” Kyuhyun answered. Well, Sungmin’d got mad already; there’s no problem of making him more right?

“CHO KYUHYUN!” Sungmin growled, more annoyed than anything. “Just let me out now or I’ll fuck you to death!”

Stopped, Kyuhyun looked at his hyung. Did he hear it wrong? Oh, maybe. Did his hyung say it wrong? Should be. There’s no way Sungmin would say-

“Now you’re the one being quiet,” Sungmin  spitted. He stood up again; but again, automatically, Kyuhyun pulled him back down.

Kyuhyun’s brain was still working but he found no answer. He took a long breath and looked at Sungmin’s eyes. He could see Sungmin’s eyes getting darker and darker. He could feel Sungmin’s hand reaching his back, going inside his t-shirt, and he felt his back being scratched. He let out a small groan when he felt Sungmin’s nails digging deeper.

“Cho Kyuhyun,” Sungmin replied his stare. “You’re the one who ask.”

That’s the last sentence Kyuhyun heard before Sungmin’s mouth got onto his and Sungmin’s hands went into his shorts and pulled them down.

“Hyung.”

“Hmm?”

Kyuhyun took another breath and pulled Sungmin’s closer into his arms. All tired and satisfied, not to mention all the marks Sungmin had given him.

“My back is all scratched up.”

“No one will notice, Kyuhyunnie.”

Sungmin curled deeper and turned his head facing the younger guy.

“You’re asking it anyway.”

“I’ll tell them you’re being aggresive then,” Kyuhyun laughed.

“WHAT?”

“You’re aggresive when you’re mad,” Kyuhyun giggled. “But I like it. Just let them interpret all the way they want.”
