EINS!
Y Tu Mama Tambien (Mexico) (Directed by Alfonso Cuaron)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
AAAAAAAAAHH!!
AAAAHH!! HOLY FUCKING GOD MOTHER OF IKER AND ALL THE SAINTS! I LOOOVE THIS SHIT! And not because hispanophone's world best bromance are starring in it. So it's a story about two Mexican chicos, Julio and Tenoch, doing a road trip through their country with Tenoch's cousin' wife, Luisa. They're on their way to a beach called "Heaven's mouth" that doesn't even exists (at least that's what they thought). On the road, they will discover the meaning of sex, love, friendship and a whole load of other things.
So like I said above, two muy caliente mexican muchachos, Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, are portaying the main characters. The actress who played Luisa, Maribel Verdu, is also part of "Pan's Labyrith"'s casting. So yeah, I looooooooooooove this movie. Everithing in it amazes me even though it's not flawless. This film has such a "wild" feeling that makes you want to get lost on the beaches of Mexico. And come on, awesome director, awesome actors, awesome movie. There's some mighty sex scenes in it though, so if you're feeling kinda prude, refrain from watching it. Personaly I thought it wasn't a big deal. It was EROTIC and not PORNOGRAPHIC. People mix these two up a lot nowdays. The end was extremely sad. I wanted to cut my veins then, but I'm fine now.
ZWEI!
Im Juli (Germany) (Directed by Fatih Akin)
GERMANZZZZZ! Anther road movie (I have a thing for road movie I guess), but this time a dramatic-romantic-comedy. It's all about a young geeky uni teacher that one night, meets a beautiful Turkish woman for whom he instantly falls for. They spend the night together, but the next day she has to leave for Istambul. The guy, believing that she's the love of his life, decides to go to Istambul by car. On the road, he picks up a girl who sells jewelry beside the university he works in and who's in love with him for a while. Together, they will cross the European continent and get themselves in a lot of trouble and hilarious situations.
A heartwarming movie that I keep watching again and again. The script is far from being original, but there's a je ne sais quoi that makes the movie addicting. I wasn't hysterical for it like I was for "Y tu mama tambien", but I was easily hooked. The actors were unknown to me even though I read somewhere that the guy is a big thing in Germany. I don't watch enough german movie unfortunately.
DREI!
Piter FM (Russia)
Another movie about amoooor! Russian this time. Masha, a young radio DJ who is about to get married, but has second thoughts, loses her cellphone. The phone got picked up by Maksim, a young engineer who is pondering whether or not he should leave to start his career in Germany. Masha and Maksim try to meet up so he can give the phone back to her, but they somehow alway fail. But after few phone conversations, they become each other's confident and soon, their relationship evolves to another level.
A lovely movie. Very simple which surprised me because Russian movie tend to be quite dramatic, so watching a movie like this was refreshing. The actors are cute and not so famous in the russian showbusiness. But what really cought my attention was St-Pitersburg. The beauty of thins city is undeniable. And I have to say that St-Piter also has a big role in the movie. It was as important as New York in "Sex and the City". I obviously recommend it if you are able to find it with subtitles somewhere. XD
This is it muchachos and muchachas!
I don't rate the movies because I'm too cool for that and I love them all anyway.
And like I swore to myself that I will post a youchoob video in every single post I make here, here it is!
