Lately I was pondering about fidelity in football. The majority of people I know who are into football have 1, 2 or 3 favourite clubs that they cheer for. "Oh really? What does Liverpool and my little home club (Fortuna Düsseldorf!) tell you about me then?:P"
I'm ashamed to say that I don't know anything about your home club beside the fact that your goalie is foiiiiiiiine. And for Livepool... I don't know, what I'm gonna say is probably bullshit, but I think people like the club because they see themselves in it. Or at least they see what they want their life to be. In L'pool's case, it's one of the most "united" and "friendly" club I've ever seen. All the players stick together ad their fans have a lovely cheesy song "you'll never walk alone" that they sing everytime without getting tired of it. Si I assume that friendship and family are very important for Pool's fans. They might be slightly less competitive than, let's say, ManU's fans who's song is about how glorious they are. Also, there's all this Scouse thing. Like "we're pride to be different even though the rest of England think our accent is ridiculous." So if we continue with this (shitty) logic, Pool's fans are those kind of people who feel a little bit different from the rest. But this theory doesn't apply to those who live in Livepool and who support their home club.
So yeah, there are many many holes in my reasoning. Like for example, a Korean person can supporn ManU just because of Park Ji Sung. So I say, this love is all about the feelings. But I'm not eloquent enough to put words on them.

No seriously, it's a very easy deduction that I made above. Actually, I thought more about Real Madrid and Barça.
Spam your sexy-ass goalie sometimes ok? on ontd-fb or on your journal, doesn't matter.
