Being with you...

Being with you
was like a whisper at midnight
subtle and sad
soft and silken
like the kiss of the lake
on the sand at shore
where we lay
zippers hiss
fingers dig into flesh
with desperation
I tried to find you
I tried to feel you
skin tugs on skin
your stubble shreds my lips
The weight of you
along my whole body
finally...

I gave in.

I took you up
in my messy apartment on the floor
old carpet mashed into our backs
we rolled over and over
hungry, pressing
into eachother
away from
the consequences of
forbidden touch.

I closed my eyes and
you carried me
like a child to the bed
the red sheets,
the curtained window
a voyeaur to our sin
When you held me I collapsed
around your fingertips
as an untouched antique
turned to dust--
in a glance.
