I got to sit in an Ambulence today...

Feb 18, 2009 20:44

So today.. the CO2 alert went off twice today. The first time, we went out of the store pronto. No one ever called the firedepartment. The second time, Marilou, the manager, decided it wasn't urgent and we stayed inside several minutes. finally dawn demanded we leave, and we went out, running this time. As the day progressed, we--or at least some of us--were starting to feel a little sick. John had already left and was heading towards the hospital. He had called the store manager, and then was told to go back to the store, the ambulence would go there to check him out since it happened during work hours. Other than him, Dawn made me go out with another girl. I freaked out. I didn't know what to expect from it...i don't like hospitals or anything of the like. Sitting in the ambulence, while they took my vitals, I heard them say that my heartrate was high... well duh, i was nervous as hell....
other than that.... we were short on people earlier in the day, so i was half running, presenting, and taking orders in lane two. I was handing out one woman's food, and she asked for two sauces. I handed them two her, and next thing i know is, she says "thanks.... BITCH!" and flies off... I just stand there for a moment and look around "What the hell did i do?!" the customer that pulled up to the window said "Just forget about her, she almost ran me over speeding into the parking lot." It upset me for the rest of the day.
Dawn blew up again a couple of times... the first time, i did break down crying, and went to the back of the store, since the fight was about me. Bruno was giving me a hard time that I needed to make ice cream when we just got back in from one of the CO2 alerts, but with our soda machine not working, I was trying to work with it so that it wasn't exploding suddenly 100s of drinks that we didn't need anymore. Dawn starting yelling that he needed to back off, so I ran off.... Eric, working back booth, helped to comfort me... the second time was later in the evening just before the ambulence got there... we could have taken care of it so easily, the problem with a customer, but instead she blew up at them, and the problem became near unfixable... and i was the one responsible to hand out their food... there was no reason she should have even jumped in...
so glad i have tomorrow off.
