One day, Rin 90% complete!
Started working on Rin from the Kakashi Gaiden of Naruto manga today and got her nearly completely done! It was a lot of basic alterations for the shirt and shorts. I took an old skort that I never wear anymore and just took the front flap off, and boom, black shorts. Took a pre-existing V-neck, three-quarter sleeve shirt, cut the V a little lower and put on a collar [it doesn't look quite right, but it'll work.] and took an old apron, a large off-white thing that was hidious, and altered it into Rin's apron. Thinking of adding a small pocket or two on the inside of it just to carry stuff in if I wear it to a con. So the costume is nearly complete! I purchase a black Konoha headband at Hot Topic the other day [since I need it for both Rin and Sai] and also got some black thigh-highs there too. For her makeup, I picked up a purple makeup pencil at Hot topic as well that just happens to be the right color. YAY! Only thing now is the stupid shoes. I hate those shoes. I know I always wear high tops instead at cons, but won't look right in a photoshoot. SO! My old pair of black high tops, I'm altering to hopefully make into the ninja shoes, using some of the black fleece i have left over from Sai's jacket.
