I want a car!
..without having to go through all the BS!
Firstly, last time we sent old car to mechanics we were told we'd have trouble getting a warrant of fitness, but dad-in-law (a mechanic) is pretty sure he can keep it on the road another year/18 months.
But, lots of rust, then the door seals failing puts that into doubt, and a coupla weeks ago a wet weather reversing maneouver went awry and lo! no more rear windsheild! Time for a newer car.
Since then have gone for several test drives, paid for 1 AA assesment, and spent many hours of precious internet time looking for something that'l last a decent amount of time, and fit us comfortably.
*sigh*
Best so far is an import that arrives in 2 weeks, but we've seen a (more expensive) later model and I love it. Additional plus: not white or silver!
