YAY NEVILLE BEING AWESOME (still don't like the "oh let's pair him off with Luna because with 6 main characters they must be paired!" thing) Also McGonagall is a badass and fierce woman. "I always wanted to use that spell!" she was so giddy!
I agree with liking The Prince's Tale. I mean, that's probably only because I hated it in the book and so pretty much anything was better, but I think seeing it helped me understand Snape better than reading it. Alan Rickman probably helped as well ahahaha, but like all the scenes with Snape practically in tears--yeah, deffo helped.
Something my friend brought up on the ride home--Tonks' and Lupin's kid? Like...okay I didn't pay attention to most of part 1 but I don't remember Tonks being pregnant OR giving birth. It kinda came out of left field when Lupin mentioned it in the forest.
And I really liked the Malfoys in this movie. All of them were awesome. (Ignoring the epilogue because Malfoy jr had some weird growth on his face.)
And Fred's death made me T_________________T because seeing George just go from one family member to the next quickly because none of them were his brother and T_____________T
And um geography-wise, I noticed when the Quidditch pitch was burning that there was a forest AND a hill between it and the castle. I feel like I remember it should be closer? idkidk I might be making things up now, it's been forever with those books. (Lol I had the same problem with the castle interior/exterior if only because WHERE DID ALL THOSE STAIRCASES COME FROM)
this may have gotten really fucking long. oops. :D if I think something else, I'll let you know.
ALSO (yes again I keep forgetting) LotR comparisons I kept making because they made me lol
idk if you heard it, but when Harry's going to go get the diadem, right before he gets to it (he turns around), both my friend and I thought we heard "precious" (from nowhere??). I of course whisper "my precious" and we both start petting imaginary rings. And then giggle through the scene.
There was a lot of inappropriate laughter; I don't think I was solemn enough for this movie. No tears from me.
And then Dumbledore was totally Gandalf the White ahahahaha.
god the epilogue is so bad I can't believe they put it in the movie. The scene right before was the PERFECT ending scene--the epilogue is just tacked on for...what? We can easily imagine they'll live happily forever, we don't need to be shown it.
Unless Harry telling AS that it's okay to be in Slytherin is REALLY that important.
It didn't annoy me nearly as much as the Harry-Hermione love line the director randomly put in there. IT NEVER HAPPENED OKAY.
Oh god, and him cradling Lily in his arms and just crying his eyes out, I can't even ;~; I've always loved Snape, but that part made me feel even more empathetic towards him
ugh yeah. In 7-1 there was one scene where Lupin was like "Oh yeah, Tonks and I--" but that was IT. FU for keeping that out >:
Well, Malfoy daddy kind of lost his badass, tbh. But Cissy definitely made up for that. And Draco being all DNW over joining Voldemort :D there's no such thing as the epilogue
God, Fred T_T Forever crying for him T_T Only death in the whole series that made me cry T_T JKR WHY DO YOU KILL MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER??
I didn't even notice the thing about the Quidditch field, but you're right. It was pretty much just next to the castle, not far off like in this one O.o Directing fail.
ugh the cradling Lily scene really got me. Like I've always been pretty meh towards Snape, I understand but still kinda iffy. But that scene just...Lily should have lived so Snape could have a friend ):
My friend mentioned that it was in part 1 but like...STILL OUT OF NOWHERE THERE IS A KID
Forever crying for George and Fred T_T They were one character and now only half and T______________________T couldn't she have killed like Bill or Arthur or someone else
Yeah, he wasn't a really likeable character. I'm just drawn towards those. XD God, Lily/Snape bff-ery would have been amazing :(
It wasn't really in, there was merely a hint that they were together now, that's it. While in the books there was this crisis about not wanting Teddy to end up like Harry :/ (lol, foreshadowing)
She could've killed ANY Weasley and I'd have cared less T_T it should've been Percy
