Internet relationships are contributing to the detriment of modern society. There, I fucking said it. It's been a long time coming, but...quite honestly, I think the Internet trivializes the effort put into maintaining personal, real world relationships. Because, you know what? Words lie. And sure, fair enough...people lie too, but it's so much easier to lie when people can't see your eyes flicker, when they can't see the tension in your hands...
...and well, webcams aren't really of good enough quality to pick up on those sort of little cues, are they? IDK if I'm just frustrated because I feel like my real world relationships have gone to shit...or...whatever.
HAPPY APRIL FOOLS' DAY
Hope April is a great month for you all, and I love each and every one of you - you all brighten up my day and are extraordinarily real to me. (And I heartily hope this goes without saying - I do not think you are in any way detrimental to my well-being or of that as society as a whole; in fact, my flist and the people on it have been there for me in times where the going has gotten tough, and I couldn't be more thankful for it.) ♥
did i fool you, huh, huh?
