17 or so hours after the fact, I've calmed down.

So. Around 10.45 pm, when I was finishing up my surfing, I figured I'd do a check on my feeds before I went to bed.

A new Gaiman blog entry was up, so I read it and got the shock of my day (I would've said life, but I'm trying to cut down on my melodrama). The inestimable and amazing and fantastic and wonderful and (I'm running out of adjectives, so let's skip ahead) Dan aka webgoblin, maintainer of neilgaiman.com and poster of Gaiman tidbits when Mr. G is inaccessible to Blogger or the internet in general, had heard the heartfelt plea I'd made to his journal and reposted my request to the large sea of Gaiman fans not on neil_gaiman, sg_ljers, noscans_daily or ~goodomens.

Alas, I could not begin copying out the first few messages because, as I said before, I had to go to bed. So, like a good girl, I quickly edited my entry to redirect non-LJ users and went to bed. Or tried to.

I ended up freaking out into my pillow. So I gave in on the sleep thing, decided on waking early to deal with the first few messages, set my alarm accordingly and tried finishing up the Wodehouse omnibus.

Wodehouse didn't write his Jeeves tales to be sleep-inducing, did he?

Myself, I'm just glad I didn't do much writing in school today; cramping from essay-writing would be bad enough.

Accepting comments from people who would like to add their well-wishes or thanks to Gaiman but who won't be attending the Singapore Nov 1 talk; I will write down your comments for you and add them to the bag. Please include a name to sign with; otherwise, I will accept your lj name.
