Awesome Dojo
We had the best karate day today, ever. Elliot brought home the class 'pet': a stuffed elephant named Horton. Each kid takes Horton home for a night and writes about what Horton did on his visit. So we headed directly out from school to karate, where Tashi Dan included Horton in the class with immense dignity and solemnity. Horton got his white belt and his first belt tip, and even participated in the board breaking at the end of class! I love our dojo, and today's events only underlie my confidence in this being a great place to bring my children.
Incidentally, Horton also played goalkeeper (in cleats) in the backyard, and listened to the evening recitation of THe Hobbit. Beat that, other kids in the class! :)
