You know, we were watching old X-Files on Monday, and (coincidentally, really) one of the eps was 'Monday'. And it occured to me that the universe does not want Mulder and Scully dead, hence the reboot until it's fixed. BUT. Something else did want them dead, hence broken ATMs, Mulder signing his pay stub, and their general inability not to go into the bank.
House last night was... House. There was God, I didn't really pay much attention.
NCIS was love.
1. Abby, at the end. OMG. Yes.
2. Gibbs and reverse psych.
3. Director Shephard has brass knuckles. I could not love this woman more.
4. Gibbs leaving Jen his coffee.
5. Ziva's impugne/impregnate mixup for the most wrong mental images ever.
I am sad, however, that they've forgotten that Abby's lab now has bullet-proof glass. Loverboy wouldn't have been able to break it much less shoot her. (they couldn't have shot him, either) Is it creepy he's out there? Yep.
6. Gibbs telling her ex that the only reason he can walk is Gibbs didn't know about him.
7. You do not mess with Gibbs' team, baby. Because they will fuck your shit up.
8. The last scene, when Gibbs hit the lights--beautiful moment, man.
9. Drunk!Abby, and "oops"
10. That Abby is NOT a victim. That she'd taken out the hitman BEFORE she needed to be 'saved'.
If there is one thing I love about this show, it's how much they tend to wave the "women kick ass" flag. They could have just stopped with Ziva, made her all kickass Mary Sue and left it at that. Then they gave us Abby -- cute, geeky, and has kicked more ass than Tony, at this rate. To top it off we get Director 'Brass Knuckles' Shephard. Mwah.
I swear, the openin credits are basically, "Hi. These are our guys. They're kinda dumb. These are our girls. They kick ass. Don't piss them off."
