So, I've been watching Babylon 5, thanks to Timey's efforts and her ability to get the discs from Lackluster.
On the whole, it's a good show. There have been a few episodes which made me whimper in pain, a few that were Obvious Foreshadowing With Heavy Cement Trucks of Doom. And quite a few with banter and amusing dialogue, and, well, suchlike.
I've come to the conclusion that the overall mytharc is probably going to bore me silly.
But I like the characters a lot.
Londo, G'Kar, Vir, Ivanova, Garibaldi, Talia, Delenn, Sheridan, Sinclair, Lennier... the list goes on. They're amusing and well-written and make me laugh and (almost) cry. (G'Kar, especially. Mr. Katsulis is an incredible actor. You can't actually see his face for the mask, and he still conveys *every*thing. It's fabulous).
So, I'm up to episode 20 of season 2. Erm... The one after Divided Loyalties which I don't remember the title of. And, well, now I'm irritated, 'cause (sidenote: at least Sheridan's good for making the big speeches...) I have to wait for the next disc.
(speaking of DL. omfg! canon femslash!)
*extravagant sigh*
Delenn/Sheridan, btw, is being added to the stupid!cute OTP list. (Susan/Talia were already on the Angsty OTP list of Doom, and I have been PROVEN RIGHT... in that they would always end BADLY.)
Vir, however, still holds my heart. *sighs*
In X-Files news, there was an episode still playing after B5 was done, so I watched the last half and got to meet Doggett and saw Scully thrown into a medical cabinet (ouch), and a naked Mulder being tortured by clones. And Scully crying and bleeding on Doggett 'cause she'd finally hit the end of her tether and broke.
*pats Scully* I know, honey, you need your Mulder back, but he's off being anally probed.
And there was this fabulous, snarky line from her that went something like, "Don't worry, if something tears out your throat, I've got you covered."
sigh. That's my girl.
House. Cameron won every encounter she had with House. Chase is still an ass. Foreman is cute. And Timey called the disease near the beginning.
NCIS. Tony is much too drunk to remember what he saw. And Timey and I called the culprit early on. And McGee now needs snuggles. Lots of them.
