I had a feeling it was a Lyssie-acronym ;) Although I was trying to figure out what the "C" stood for, since I thought it was going to be short for fic-spam or something. But now I know! (And knowing is half the battle.)
I'm glad you asked, because I've wasted a few brain cells trying to figure it out, too.
I'm so outta the loop: never seen Farscape or Atlantis*, but still I enjoy the lyssie and Little Red fic even if I don't get three fourths of it. But the fourth I do get I like very much.
*why yes, I do live under a rock here at the Black Hole *g*
It amuses me greatly that you read our fic without having seen the shows. And makes me squeee a lot and feel cool, like I'm a Real Writer or something :)
Er... hopefully will be DVDs of 'lantis soon? *hopes*
Hey, you are a REAL writer!! Definitely in my book..er, computer.
Oh, it will probably take me two years to get around to watching Atlantis. Rowan_D tried pushing SG:1 on me for absolutely friggin' forever before I gave in. I swore that after X Files that there would never be another obsessi um..focus like that again. Moral of the story: never, ever swear to nuthin', cause look where it's gotten me!
And actually, where it's gotten me is pretty damn good. Great fic in this universe. So glad I stumbled across you.
I TOTALLY, totally hear that. I resisted SG-1 for *months* while living with someone who was completely obsessed and watched it all the time on Sci-Fi. "NO! I'm NOT getting another obsession!"
"But it has unrequited science-fiction love!! You knooooow you can't resist unrequited science-fiction looooove..."
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!" *kicking and screaming*
I did not last long.
But if you're *already* reading the fic, dear, it doesn't seem like you stand to lose very much...
Well, the only Atlantis fic I'm reading is yours and lyssie's. It's not like I'm out there on the 'net searching out other. My god, I spend enough time searching out SG:1 fic. And then there's LJ, and my various e-mail accounts, and e-muse (aka, Scullyfic), and the daily check in at Ephemeral and the pro bicycle racing sites and somewhere in there I have to do laundry and feed the horses and dogs and go ride my bikes, and oh yeah, that annoying job that pays the bills.
But as for your writing, you, my dear, should feel validated in spades.
I agree with this in BIG LETTERS, but it's a theory I sometimes have a hard time applying to myself. Not that I get all down and annoying about it, because I don't actually care to be a real writer since I feel like I don't have a choice about it (writing, that is, or at least storytelling)... but I get rather in awe of other fic writers and it boggles me a bit that some people put me in the same category.
But the point of this comment: Finally I ask, what DOES "SCAM" stand for?

Show/Comic/Cartoon/Anime/Movie: (or, to put it simply, SCAM)
*g*
And, yes! You should be. *nods*

Anyone who writes is a real writer.
