I've never watched it, as the premise didn't really interest me. If you're a fan, please don't take this the wrong way, but that was possibly the most boring hour I've ever spent.
1. Probably the worst run resistance in the history of ever. They stand around talking. A lot. And Everything Is Dramatic. But nothing actually seems to happen. Also, they kill people and fire off guns, but local law enforcement? Never seems to notice.
2. Most pointless and useless alien invaders, ever. They don't seem to do anything, either. Anna slinks around, the camera making her head seem twice as big as everyone else's, whilst her minions... fail at torturing people (also, wow, only the Japanese know torture, huh?). And then they fail at guarding the resistance member, allowing another resistance member to murder him and save him from more torture. Not to mention, they seem to not care about the rest of the resistance members running around (they catch them with a spy camera, AND a tracking device, but fail to do a fucking thing about it). Now, if Anna were Cavil, that would be because she knew that most of the Final Five were running the resistance and were playing with them for the hell of it. But this isn't BSG, sadly.
3. John May is dead. This is unsurprising. he died so that other male aliens could understand that the LOVE of a GOOD human WOMAN was all they needed to save their SOULS. Or something like that. Ladies, remember, ONLY YOUR VAGINAS can stop male aliens from wanting to destroy our planet. Isn't it great to have one?
4. Trucco, at least, was lovely to watch. More charismatic and interesting than the entire main cast combined, sadly. Even if he was being Karl Agathon. (I demand RPF where Katee and Tricia twit him about that)
5. There was also something about how women are always incapable of constancy or something, and Krycek had a woodworking shop (watch the one-handed man build a house!), so, no difference there. (seriously, "the tests say he isn't your daddy, but my dialogue never says clearly that I never slept with another man, oh, I'm such a slut..." was sort of the gist of that entire subplot)
6. Oh, and the trapped resistance dude died. I'm sure, if I'd been watching the show, I would have felt something more about it, but mostly, I was just yawning and going "GET IT OVER WITH". The actors weren't all that good on selling how tragic it was, either. (now, the dude playing John Mays' teenage kid was actually pretty good in the "OMGWTFWTFWTF" department, even if, seriously, you guys, killing his girlfriend should have made him freak out more)
Seriously, this was the most boring, bland and dull SF show it's been my misfortune to watch. Hell, even Tru Calling was more interesting, and that show was completely crap.
