FlashForward, NCIS, NCIS:LA

Bottom line for all of them? Nowhere near enough women. Children of Earth spoiled me rotten for women in narratively meaty roles who affect the plot.

FF. This is basically Children of the Earth without women in strong roles and without the children aspect. Nor the britishness. It didn't suck, but Joe Fiennes angsting on the roof swingset is going to get old reaaaallly fast.

(women: 1. cheating wife. 2. office girl who gets pregnant)

NCIS. Tony Exposition was possibly the most boring way they could have started the season. Seriously, your finale was Ziva walking away, but it's Tony who gets the entire come-back episode? Laaaaaaaaaaaaame.

Even worse is how it's all (again) about Tony In Love With a Woman. Didn't you writers LEARN from the whole Jeanne thing that Tony In Love is really really boring? This season will only be improved if Jeanne shows up and she and Ziva run away together.

I'm especially disappointed as I was hoping for a further exploration of Ziva and all of the loyalties pulling her apart. Instead, it was the Tony Exposition Hour. I should have known not to hope for something complex. Sigh.

At least Abby got to hug Ziva at the end.

NCIS: LA.

Um. Their command center has stairs. And is set up almost exactly like the bullpen of origi-NCIS.

I'm not sure what to make of that.

Anyway. I sort of like this and sort of don't? It was sort of... bland. Also, the kidnaped kid was pretty obvious--why else would that photo be down from the wall?

The dad twist was at least different, though I sort of... wondered why he was calling.

Not enough moments for Kenzi (Kenzey?) to punch someone, sadly. And she sort of looks like Myka from Warehouse 13.

Do like the new boss lady, even though it's sort of silly how they're emphasising her size. I sort of miss Macy, though. Oh well.
