My semester is done, and I'm glad.
Yesterday was eaten up by a massive project at work (monthly newsletter) because my supervisor is out of the country and it fell almost completely to me. I'm quite proud of it, though, and will be nicking like 5 copies to show off. I wrote three articles for it, too! :D
This, of course, means tomorrow is going to be terribly busy in making up the things that have fallen in priority. There's a lot of media monitoring to do, and a whole folder of laminations to sift through to see what we actually need to keep and what can be junked. Not too bad.
Today was a nice break from things. I slept in a little, then knit and watched TV until 12:30. Hillary had a Japanese test to make up on the main campus, so I tagged along to go check out the bookstore selection of textbooks for the spring. I'm planning to buy them off of Amazon or eBay because it'll be much cheaper, but the bookstore website doesn't list edition. Now I have the proper titles and years written down, and I can buy over Xmas. Woot!
Strolled around a nearly silent campus a while until Hillary finished her test, then went to Jim's to pick up lunch/dinner. I've been knitting since then, and have been making great progress on my Doctor Who scarf. On the
loose end in this photo, I'm just starting the second tan stripe. Mine looks much shorter, however, since it hasn't been nicely worn and stretched out to the full 12 foot length.
So yeah. Official winter break ftw!
