Speaking of music...

A meme! Taken from harald387

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. No cheating and doctoring your list to make yourself look cooler than the person you took this from

I reserve the right to skip tracks that are audiobooks (I have a lot) but other than that, I won't cheat. Also, I'm including a lyric from each that is funny/ironic.

Opening Credits: Don't Feel - Equilibrium Soundtrack Instrumental

First Day At School: Fate - Wanted Soundtrack Instrumental again

Breaking Up: Next Motherfucker (Remix) - Marilyn Manson "Wanna throw down at the playground / I wanna go out"

Prom: Sway - The Perishers It's actually a ballad-ey type song: "I've always been a dreamer/ I've had my head among the clouds / Now that I'm coming down / Won't you be my solid ground?"

Sex scene: Village of the Doomed - American McGee's Alice Soundtrack Instrumental, though it opens with the quote "Wonderland... where are you now?"

Life's Ok: A Very Nice Prince - Into the Woods Original Broadway Soundtrack "All I know is... what I want most of all... is to know what I want."

Mental: Satori - Rodrigo y Gabriela Instrumental - really fast and frantic flamenco style guitar

Flashback: Gun Katas - Equilibrium Soundtrack Instrumental and 45 seconds long - apparently my flashbacks are short

Getting Back Together: Jabberwock - American McGee's Alice Instrumental. Interestingly enough, the audio book track that I skipped before reaching this one was the Epilogue to Deathly Hallows.

Wedding Scene: Letting Go - Jekyll and Hyde "I'm scared, my child, because I'm going to lose you / I find it very hard to let you go." Funny because it's a touching song a father sings to his daughter - though I haven't got a father, so idk. Also, one of the three (!) audio book tracks that I skipped before reaching this one was from Twilight - dear LORD, no!

Birth of Child: Axwel - I Found U (Original 12" Mix)"Thank god I found you / I never really had a love / Sent from heaven up above / I'm just so happy because / Thank god I found you " I think this is part of a workout CD compilation that I downloaded when I had the crazy notion to go running. The fact that it's totally off the wall and hyper makes it really not conducive to being a 'song about a new baby' song.

Falling In Love: Shostakovich String Quartet #6 - III. Lento Instrumental. And actually quite morbid sounding - lots of cello in a minor key. It's like a dirge - fantastic!

Final Battle: Bittersweet - Apocalyptica "I'm giving up the ghost of love" It's really quite mellow and more fitting of a death scene, I think. There's nothing at all battle-y about it.

Death Scene: Shostakovich String Quartet #10 - I. Instrumental. Once again, minor and slow and tragic - though it's more appropriate for a death scene.

Funeral Scene: March of the Fuckheads - Nine Inch Nails Ha! Fuck allay'all at my funeral, bitches! Instrumental and industrial.

End Credits: Reflections - John Ottman Insturmental and possibly from the movie Cruel Intentions?

And since most of those were boring and instrumental, I'm doing it again with different rules: this time I will skip audio books and instrumental songs so that I get stuff with lyrics.

Opening Credits: Avril Lavigne - Losing Grip "Why should I care? / If you don't care then I don't care / We're not going anywhere" [In my defense, even though no one will believe me, I actually DID download this CD to put on an MP3 player I gave my 12 year old cousin for Christmas a few years back.]

First Day At School: Scala & Kolacny Brothers - Raintears "Raintears spill and the windows smear / My tears spill because you're not here"

Breaking Up: Richard Cheese - Rock the Casbah "As soon as the Shareef was outa their hair / They began to wail "

Prom: Jewel - Amen "Pieces of us die everyday / As though our flesh were hell" [...what? I didn't like prom.]

Sex scene: Ani DiFranco - Educated Guess "I've got something sweet for you / And I don't care if it is more than you deserve / I've got a lot of love and a lot of nerve / So baby watch me while I take this curve"

Life's Ok: Michael Bublé - Moondance "Well it's a marvelous night for a moondance / With the stars up above in your eyes / A fantabulous night to make romance / 'Neath the cover of October skies"

Mental: Richard Cheese - Three's Company Theme "Come and knock on our door / we've been waiting for you" [Oddly enough, I had to skip over something from American McGee's Alice to get here - a song from the asylum-school level as a matter of fact]

Flashback: Poe - Could've Gone Mad "Another day and I could've gone mad / Another day and it might've gotten bad" [This so should have been one song up.]

Getting Back Together: John Carpenter - Teaser "Make up your mind, baby / You gonna do it or you just teasin'?"

Wedding Scene: Scala & Kolacny Brothers - Perfect Day "Oh its such a perfect day / I'm glad I spent it with you" [Though knowing me, wedding lyrics would be more like "Just a perfect day / Drink sangria in the park / And then later, when it gets dark / We go home."]

Birth of Child: Marilyn Manson - Paranoiac "I don't need a reason to hate you the way I do" [The entire song is about fucking, which is so awkward...]

Falling In Love: Slipknot - My Plague (New Abuse Mix) "You fuckin' touch me I will rip you apart / I'll reach in and take a bite out of that shit you call a heart"

Final Battle: Five Pointe O - The Infinity "Several Secrets Of Life won't Be Learned 'till You Die"

Death Scene: Rage Against the Machine - Calm Like A Bomb "The same bodies buried hungry but with different last names"

Funeral Scene: Amy MacDonald - Run "Will you tell me when the song stops playing / 'Cos I can’t hear, I can’t hear no more" [Um, I just decided that I definitely do want this song played at my funeral now]

End Credits: Marilyn Manson - New Model, No. 15 "I'm the new, I'm the new New Model / I've got nothing inside"
