Up Early
The reason I am up waaaay too early on Saturday morning is that finally, finally, I'll get to try a spinning wheel at my local yarn shop. There's a woman there who teaches spinning classes and offered to set me up with a wheel while she teaches another basic class on the subject (or it's a spin group; I wasn't clear on which.)
The Monday after my bday weekend, I'll be taking her plying on the drop spindle class, something I am definitely looking forward to. I'm pretty much self taught in that realm and if there are better ways to play, I'd like to hear 'em.
waterfire741 would be amused at what I do for what he has dubbed "The Cult of String". (All knitters, crocheters, spinners and fiber artists in general.) Frankly, I should just start up the knitting group again and use that name. It's too awesome.
Now, off to play with the shinies!
