My "birthday" weekend

First off, can you believe the beautiful weather we had this weekend??!!! Are we sure we are in Washington, what a gorgeous time to come home!!!

So this weekend deffinately went back too quickly, anymore, weekends that I get to come home go by too fast. I guess that is what it is like to become an adult, but I remember my Kindergarten logic of the world in thinking that a year was such an extremely long time, and events that I would wait for would never come. Now they come and they go in the blink of an eye, and I wait for the next time to come home.

This weekend started off rocky when I found out that my Great Aunt is really not doing well and my Dad rushed over to Pasco to spend time with her and handle her estate and will. I think his going down there really helped her spirits but it was hard not to see my Daddy and I know it was hard on my Mom; for this reason, I spent a lot of time with my family which was needed more than I even knew.

Friday hung out with Josh, Jenny, and Drew. It was so good to spend time with the all of you and "I had to double cup this for you because it was horribly sticky!" - If only Josh could have a normal experience in a drive-through. It was so good to see you Drew, I miss you, we will have to hang out soon!

Since I won't be home for my birthday, we celebrated this weekend. So in all actuality, I will have three birthdays this year, lucky me! On Saturday Josh and Betty came over for a wonderfully home-cooked meal (cafeteria food is no comparison to some real Mommy made food!!!), followed by a couple of games of 301 in darts between Josh, Seth, and I and then us all watching "The Notebook". It means so much to me that our families are able to spend time together and sit around eating dinner or crying watching a movie.

Sunday was Josh and my big date night. We hung out all day after church and then made ourselves look all fancy and then Josh took me out to a spectacular dinner at CI Shennanigans. We sat in a booth that could easily fit a family of seven so it was quite spacious, but we had a pretty good view of the "diamonds, rubies, and emeralds". The food was incredible and I was so proud to finish every last bite. After dinner we went and saw "Hitch" which was such a funny movie - I totally reccomend seeing it if you haven't. Thank you so much for an amazing night!!!! I can't wait till we can celebrate your birthday.

Now back at Western, I can not wait to come home for Spring break!!
