all right, that took a lot of time that I didn't need to waste. But I finally converted all my journal views to a custom style that gets rid of all the things that irritate me about the defaults.

I'm happy. sorta.

I like the day view on journals. I don't remember it from when I had a journal before, so I'm glad it exists now.
