Oh man, the end of the show always sets me off too, and I don't even like Big! I think SJP and Chris Noth just play the hell out of those final scenes...
Haha, that probably is a big part of it; next to that Russian asshole, Big gets to look good.
I loved Berger, too; that was the best match she had on the show. I also loved Aidan, but it never rang true to me that she'd love him, or vice versa even.
I rooted for Aidan, too. But then the whole smoking thing bothered me. I guess it was the right thing to quit, but I can't see myself giving up cigarettes for a guy. Oh wait, this is a show.. I get too involved, haha.
It's so manipulative, really. I'm sure the writers know that female friendship is never the same after your early 20s... and that's how they really get you to care about it all, by putting forth this fantasy.
The smoking thing bothered me, too. It wasn't an unfair request, but maybe you and I just aren't the kind of people who would seriously take up with anyone who said, "No cigarettes... EVER."
"I'm looking for love. Ridiculous. Inconvenient-can't live without each other love."
I miss New York. Take me home.
*big sigh*

Glad to know, at least, that I was watching reruns of Sex in the City with a good friend. :)
