1. Tell me something obvious about you. I march to the beat of my own drummer. Sometimes I'm happy about that. Other times, not so much.
2. Tell me something about you that many don't know. That I make up stupid little songs about all kinds of things. I even have a special song I sing when I have just toasted and buttered the very last piece of bread in the bag.
3. What is your biggest fear? Probably winding up alone. Seems like a dumb thing for a self-proclaimed loner to say, but it's true. I guess even loners want to believe that there are a handful of others out there who can truly understand them. Seems like I've found at least one, so the prognosis is good.
4. Do you normally go the safe route or take the short cut? Depends on what we're talking about. Seems for me that the safe route and the short cut are one in the same most of the time. I guess I'm trying to take the "scenic" route more often. It shouldn't be all about the destination, but the journey as well.
5. Name one thing you want that you can't buy with money. Inner peace. It doesn't seem to matter how much I accomplish in life. The demons remain.
6. What is your most treasured possession? If we're talking material things, which I assume we are, I would have to say my extensive library. God I miss my books. I hope I can get them shipped out to me soon.
7. What is the one thing you hate most about yourself? This horrible pessimistic, cynical, antisocial attitude I've developed over the years. I miss being someone who knew how to trust and believe and hope 100% of the time.
8. Tell me something about yourself that I don't know. What, the confession about the toast song wasn't enough? Hee hee... I think you know most things about me by now. You've been reading my journal for a long time.
9. Tell me your first impression of me. I liked you right away. You were beautiful, both inside and out. I remember thinking that immediately.
10. What is your favorite lie to tell? That I feel bad about what happened with my marriage ending. I don't. I'm glad it's over.
11. Name something you've done once that you can't wait to do again. Go on a cruise. I can't wait to take another one with Seth. We'd have a blast raiding the midnight taco bar and exploring a new place every day.
12. Are you the jealous type? Yes, but I know that 9 times out of 10 it's because of my self esteem.
13. What is the one person, place or thing you can't say no to? Probably sex. I always seem to be in the mood.
14. What is the nicest thing someone has ever done for you? I suppose showing genuine interest in how I'm feeling, or what my goals and dreams are. A lot of people pretend to care, but they're just being polite.
15. If you could do something crazy right now, what would it be? Hop on a plane to Italy just to eat a pizza.
16. When was the last time you cried? Blah... I'm so overly emotional. I cry a lot.... because I'm sad, happy, angry. Hard to pinpoint just one time, especially if it's really supposed to have been me crying over something meaningful.
17. When was the last time you felt so good that nothing else mattered? Last night. We bought a barbecue recently, and last night we finally got around to using it. That has to be the best damn dinner I've ever eaten. That's such a normal thing for most people, but for us, it was like we'd never had barbecue before. Normal things seem to be harder won for us, but they mean more when we do have them.
