Brand new 2009. Just turned 31 years of age. I am already way past looking at my age as a obstacle but only as a number. I am trying to age gracefully. I think I am not so bad for my age. Yes, I have some spare tyres around but so what?
A new year just began and the full force of the financial crisis will be known soon. I am a little worried about how the Singapore economy will be affected. It is already been quite bad. The GDP is already about 1%. That is about 5 percentage point below the estimated figure in the year 2007.
Got a new laptop. Not personal one of course but the company. Standard model: HP 6930p. Intel Core Duo 2 P8600 (2.4GHz), 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD (7200 rpm), separate video RAM. Have not tested out the system fully yet but hopefully it will be much faster. I will still be using my old IBM ThinkPad. Hopefully will not be too squeezed on my already tiny cubicle. Still would have preferred a MacBook...
Got some vouchers from VivoCity as a birthday present from my colleagues. A couple of hundred. Wondering what I should spend it own? Splurging it on myself (Maybe a spa session?), some new gadget? A new pair of ECCO? Food? Or use it for buying diapers and milk powder for the kids? Hmm... Tough choice...
