When did plotting turn to organized planning?

Today is rabid graphic design day. Printable badges, cocktail cards, 1/3 sheet ads and full sized flyers.

It's hard to believe the event is Saturday. I'm increasingly anxious over the fact that I just bought $500 of movie tickets and don't have 50 reservations yet. Hopefully, we'll get some good walk-in traffic. If not, we'll still have a good crowd and break even, but we won't make a profit.

It turns out Wolverine opens on Derby weekend. Yowch. Not a big deal in the rest of the country, but Oaks (Derby for locals) and Derby are serious local holidays here. The whole town takes the days off and the non-food/alcohol related economy simply stops.

Sponsors are kind. The next 3 events are coming together nicely. They're far from finished, but so far, we have:

Wolverine:
* Free Wolverine Comic for everyone
* Caricature Artist
* Costume Contest
* Posters and studio swag
* Movie Ticket

Star Trek:
* Free Maker's Mark dipped glass
* Free or discount cocktail
* Costume Contest
* Movie ticket

Public Enemies:
* Speakeasy theme night - black tie and evening gowns (or zoot suits, flappers, gangsters & molls for the more costume oriented)
* Free Maker's Mark dipped glass
* Free or discount cocktail
* Master distiller on premises and in character explaining why this "bourbon" is better than the bathtub gin you get at those other joints.
* Posters and studio swag

I'm also looking at putting together a singles event where we'll take profile pictures of you both solo and having fun with the other singles while two professional writers help look over your profile and make recommendations for improvement. Plus, you'd enjoy said "fun" things to do with other singles. I need to come up with something other than cocktails and a bouncy castle for that. Sure, *I'D* date someone who thought drunken bouncing sounded like fun, but I must conjure something that'd appeal to the mainstream - especially to mainstream women.
