It's come to the point where I have to write down a to-do list of all the things that I need to get done so that my mind doesn't overwhelm itself and try to explode on me. And the worst part is that I keep adding things to it and have yet to cross any off. Ahhh!!!! So hopefully tomorrow I can make some progress (I did manage to stop by Service Reproduction to pick up more watercolour paper-Arches watercolour rough ♥). I also got the script for A2Z book G (#7) so I get to read that over tomorrow and determine whether it is possible to do the drawings in 30 days (on top of having a Zondervan deadline in about two weeks(?), 10 paintings due ASAP and another illustration for my aunt secondary-ASAP). My preliminary guess is: Probably, but I absolutely can't procrastinate like I usually do.
The bright spot is that last year about this time I was in the midst of record-high motivation levels with finishing the third A2Z book and starting my Senior Project, and with the rush of deadlines closing in now I'm starting to feel a bit like diving into a pile of work again and seeing what I'm capable of. It'd be nice if I can repeat or exceed last year's results :D
However, right now I also want to sleep, and eat (I was stuffed from chicken fajitas at dinner, but somehow I'm always hungry again by bedtime), and read more of The Tale of Genji (currently in the midst of The Fireflies, and rather disgusted with Genji).
So I think I'll get myself a glass of lemon water and see if I can get a start on Guitar Rocket Star. Fight-o, Lys!!
(oh: I did spend a nice yesterday evening and today at GVSU, and raised my mantis-count to two: one half dead baby a month ago and one all dead adult today (...). And I got to see nice friendly art kids who I haven't seen in a while (though not all of you!), and Ed/my illustration professor commissioned me so there's more work to do, haha, and they had really good cheesy-artichoke dip at the art-show reception.... and it feels like fall)
