Hmmmmmmmmmm.
Yesterday I celebrated freedom from obsessive-compulsiveness. It was mum's fault. First thing in the morning, she made me pack some cucumber in my lunch, and was handing them to me but then I wondered about leaving all the skin on them, so she took some back before I could think this through, and started cutting it off...but then stopped with only half the sides done. And then she cut some more slices, with all the skin on them! So they were totally mis-matched!! Arg!!!
After that, you can imagine I was ALL mixed up. One of the computer labs here has Macs in rows of 3, with a single one at the front for the prof. Usually I turn that one on last, so that I can do them all three-at-once (they all make the start up sound, so I kinda race myself to see if I do the next set faster, etc). Yesterday, I just turned them all on willy-nilly in the order I got to them. Oh my...
My next rebellion didn't come until I was taking the bus home. There's another guy I can recognize who gets off at the same stop as me, and usually I manage to pull the stop-please cord before he can, then privately congratulate myself on my cunning and speed. But instead, this time I just sat there and let him take care of it. This one was pretty simple, wasn't it...?
Okay, there's only two more to go now. When I got home, I didn't eat the Cheez-its two at a time like I usually do, but just took small handfuls at a time until I finished them. So random and unorganized, I know! And the final thing was when we went to the mall and I walked UP THE ESCALATOR in my striving to get to a store that closes at 9 to see a skirt it was rumoured they had (i didn't see it, but maybe I'll check again another time....).
In conclusion, I've decided that it's pretty obsessive-compulsive to keep track of non-obsessive-compulsive things like this. But I'll keep trying....

In other news: today I made a very-simple obento. It is cute. It is healthy. It is delicious? (i don't know yet) I had to wake up early and I burned my thumb a little and learned that rice is very very hot when it's just cooked, and also it sticks to you. If you try to brush it off one finger it'll stick to the one you brush it off with, so the only solution is to eat it quick or find something not made of your own skin to get it off with. I ate the rice I didn't pack for breakfast (along with some bits of carrot and a slice of an orange), and I liked that very much, but now I feel a little funny. I think stomachs are very sensitive in the morning, and this is why many people say they can't eat breakfast. But I've always eaten cereal, so I'm quite used to that. It's when I eat anything else (granola bar, fruit, eggs, pancakes, rice, juice, whatever) that my poor stomach doesn't know what to do with itself. But I like rice, so I think I'll force myself to get used to it. It's cheaper than cereal, too!!
