Fooooooooooo ...

May 12, 2004 11:49

I did a load of light-coloured laundry yesterday. One of the [khaki] pants of my father had a pen in the pocket. I did not know this until just a few minutes ago, when this father told me of our "laundry disaster."

I'm a bit angered. Because ... stupid things like that always anger me. I don't want to be blamed for it even though it's partially my fault ... I'm subconsciously shifting most of the blame to my dad because WHY would you put a pen in your pocket? Has something good ever, ever come of it? You're just asking for stuff like this to happen!! Am I really supposed to check ever stupid pocket of every stupid pant because YOU the wearer can't check for yourself before putting things in your dirty-clothes-ready-to-be-washed hamper? REALLY. My dad said "I always check all the pockets" ... I'd hope so, since HE'S the one who leaves pens in pockets for poor launderers to discover too late, in the first place.

So anyway, a bunch of stuff's ruined now. Besides socks and things that don't matter and can be worn anyway, I've now got a spotty pair of khakis and a spotty white shirt that I rather liked. Pout ....

[there's my little drama for the day. enjoy! it's almost laughable how petty a thing it is, really .. oh wellz.]

complaining, laundry
