I got a dehydration-headache from sitting outside this afternoon on my lunch-and-manga break (I ate rice noodles with scrambled eggs and goat cheese while reading Tower of the Future 4). Blerg. I need to remember to drink more water.

Anyway, here's yesterday's and the day before's daily fashion!

Saturday we went to a surprise wedding and then to Festival again. The surprise wedding was rather interesting... it was a surprise to the guests, who thought we were just getting together for a sort of farewell/celebration party for the engaged couple. (it's kind of complicated to explain it all, so I'll just leave it at that.) And Festival was fun-we saw a performance by a band this guy from my church plays drums for, and he was really good. I hadn't really intended to go, but because the party before it turned into a wedding, we stayed later than we planned and didn't have time to stop back home before the performance at Festival, so I had no choice. But I'm glad I went!! I sat with some folks from church and chatted with their eldest daughter (who I hadn't really talked to much before, but she's such a nice girl. I love their whole family!) And that led to...

...the crown on my head on Sunday's drawing. I came across it at festival, and when the girl I sat next to saw it, she told me I had to wear it the next day (since it didn't match Saturday's outfit at all, I didn't want to wear it then). So I had to accept her challenge!! A few folks at church asked if it was my birthday or a special occasion-I guess people don't normally walk around wearing plastic crowns? I probably will wear it for my birthday, though. And whenever else I feel the need to channel my inner princess. I wonder what people would say if I wore it to work and officially claimed the title of Cashier Princess...

Also, I went for the super-lazy-uncreative pose for Sunday's drawing. It was 1am by the time I got to it (because I'm a procrastinator). Drawing all the detail in the pattern on the top and lace on the skirt is good enough for me. I bet I could find dozens of old drawings in my sketchbooks and drawing folders with that exact same pose. It's a classic...

Um, and I just noticed I wrote "turquoise socks" at the bottom. Whoops. That should be shoes. The socks are pink. 1am...
