[rec] Miserere
Once upon a time, more years ago now than I had quite realized, I wrote a fic for Prince of Tennis called Duty-Bound. I happened to be rather callous with Atobe in that fic, throwing him into bed with Sanada to make a point and then shuffling him off-screen into an arranged marriage when I'd squeezed all the plot out of him that I needed.
Well, I always felt sort of guilty about that, but not guilty enough to go back and fix things for the poor fellow. Fortunately for my guilty conscience,
anehan has stepped in to fill the gap. She's written a lovely follow-up to Duty-Bound, Miserere, that picks up Atobe's side of the story and follows him through his marriage and what happens after. Atobe is so lovely and stoic and determined, and Tezuka is perfect and wry and understated, and every time Oshitari opened his mouth I ended up laughing.
I dunno if there are any tenipuri fans still following this journal, but if there are, you should definitely go and read this fic!
