Yesterday was a great day! Had it off, which I desperately needed. I start at Water Tower on Monday, so Northbrook has been working my f-ing ass off this week. I've had no breaks. And depending on my new schedule for next week, I could be waiting 6 days or more for my next day off. Goddess help me. So, I was excited that Craig and I had it off yesterday together. We made breakfast, went and bought potting material for my bromeliad and my new orchids, and then saw V For Vendetta which was so amazing I can't even say. Go see it. Right now. Blow off work.
And today, it's back to the grind. 12-9. I hate mid-shifts like this, because I come in right when the rush begins and I don't get to leave until the store closes. Gah. Get me out of here. Get me out of retail.
I'm a bit nervous about starting at a new store. I must admit that going to a different Sephora and doing the same job is gonna be a little odd. New people always make me a bit shaky, but I'm sure deep down it'll be fine. I'm super-easy to get along with. Plus, my new boss isn't a total tool, which always helps.
For right now, it's curly fries for breakfast and a shower, then hopefully a peaceful ride to work, even though I'm not holding my breath. People around here, when it comes to driving, are generally motherfuckers.
