Universe knocking....
Got a heads-up from my friend Shawna, the Chicago Account Rep for Vincent Longo Cosmetics. They're looking for a regional artist to do straight-up artistry work for events, appearances, shows, and the like. The hours are set 32/week, 4 days a week. That's not too bad, considering after all is said and done at Sephora I'm working around 29 on average. Also, I'd be getting paid significantly more per hour. There's not benefits for the time being, which, again, isn't a major deal because, hey, not getting them any time soon at Sephora (and I can add myself to Craig's insurance anytime). I sent in my stuff, and Shawna's gonna pull for me. Everyone cross their respective fingers.
I love Vincent Longo. This is the brand that works hand-in-hand with Victoria's Secret for their shows, and has a lot of prestige and backing. This is a line I'd choose to work with had I a choice of any brand. That's a good thing. Hopefully this will work out.
