Tweaks and twonks
For once since I started poking at my layout, I'm not using one with purple in it. But this cherry blossom theme just felt right to me. It's calming to me. I still love purple, but the latest one was kind of a placeholder until something else spoke to me anyway. If you're interested, it's under Expressives (Seasonal) and may not be available if your account type is below Paid. I wouldn't know.
I also picked up my new glasses today. I am annoyed at the optician for not telling me she was on vacation until the middle of next week, and also annoyed that she didn't change her voice mail message to indicate as much. Fortunately, the receptionist for the eye clinic was more than able to get them for me. The "oh, wait, I can see clearly" adjustment period was its usual source of amusement. Bonus points for having glasses with a good anti-glare filter not affected by scratches and wear, too. Yes, I figure it's time for new pics of me, but I might wait until after my next hair appointment. The hair goddess has offered to put in some highlighting that I look forward to seeing the effects of.
And my community list has been trimmed to get me away from some of the crasser stuff I'd been reading. It struck me that when a community devoted to poking at the stupid people has way too many stupid people in it, it's time to stop reading it. The snark communities are a different matter, though. They're not kind to the morons.
