OK, so it's Talk Like a Pirate Day. My inner pedant wants to know whether I really need to figure out a Thracian accent to be truly old school or if an Irish one will do just as well.
Then again, a good "Oy veh is mir" mightn't be too far out of character, either.
Of course, folks who've greeted me online with "Arr" or "Yarr" have been greeted in return with "Napster" and "Bittorrent," so I think I have some forms of pirate speak already well in hand.
