Okay so I all ready messed up and missed a day, but technically I've been up since it was the 24th still so I'm dual entry-ing today... yea it'll probably happen a lot. This is my journal so I get to decide what I'm going to write and this time I'm going to go through a run-through of my day / days Starting with when I woke up 10pm the night before last, Friday Night {You are probably going what? is that a typo no I meant 10 o'clock at night}
BACKGROUND INFO: just in case you don't know and are lost because I would be - I work 3rd shift (thats night time 11pm until 7:30am) at Meijer doing GM Stocking, basically I put the "stuff" on the shelf "stuff" being... HBC (i.e. shampoo, deodorant, aspirin, vitamins, soap, cosmetics, etc) Stationary and E4 (i.e. XBOX games, Wii Games, Notebooks, pens, pencils, tape, etc.) Toys (i.e. Toys, you know the fun stuff you played with as a kid) Home (towels, blankets, coffee pots, baking sheets, etc) Pet Food (puppy chow, 9lives)possibly the seasonal pad, hardware, automotive, etc. I put them in order of what I might typically do on a given night, meaning MOST of the time I work HBC If you think about the lay out of meijer its the outside walls except grocery and the first inside stuff from back so no clothes, shoes, jewelry I sleep most of the day on weekends for fair reasons}....
Christopher was supposed to have called me sometime between 3pm that afternoon and I'd say 10pm since he knows that I had to work and that I leave at 10:30. He didn't call which was INCREDIBLY upseting to me. Being me, I couldn't handle just letting it go and seeing what he was going to do about it. I have to SOLVE asap. So i called to find out what they issue was, he forgot .... just forgot about his girlfriend who was quite sad when he left her and just needed him to call her to make her feel better.... forgot all about it.
Fast forwarding a lot... worked, chris called, came over, I moved on... not made up, moved on. SO- it was 3pm Saturday when we (chris and I) left my apartment to go to his house to get his debit card (which was supposed to be coming in the mail along with my very expensive boots) and then we were supposed to get lunch from Qdoba and go grocery shopping at Meijer... neither my boots nor his card were in the mail when we got there so we left without it ... Dustin (Chris' roommate and friend) went with us - I grocery shopped as in 100 dollars worth of food shopped. Then we went back to the house, but I had to go to my apartment and it was 5pm at this point so we all decided to get pizza. We ate... I napped. Then I had to rush off to work. I must note that.... I had gotten 3.5 hours of sleep earlier that day and then maybe another 1.5 that evening. I was tired and generally not in the mood for working. Here comes the more interesting part of this entire entry.
I was running a little late, usually I leave for work at 10:30... I left at 10:40... Usually I get there with coat off and such at 10;42... It was 10:47 today -- We're allowed to punch in at 10:58... I always punch in at 10:58
A girl that works Deli came into the break room because she ends her shift when we start ours... I usually see her and she asked how our night was... A woman I work with... we'll call her Jane for the sake of being anonymous and such (her name is really really not Jane) said "well, I am here" then stood up for some reason. A gentleman that I work with came in...we'll call him Bob and said down... Jane proceed to sit across form him... something she never does and for lack of any better word, because I really don't believe one exists pounced on him verbally...
You see a very friendly girl on the team - we'll call her Amy works with Jane every night but they don't get along. Amy is friendly so she talks to everyone and most of the time there are girls in the area that she works so thats who she talks to the girls... Well Jane told Bob that Amy was a dike... and Bob knowing that Amy would get a laugh out of it told Amy what Jane said
Jane found out that Bob told and is now in the break room "calling him out on it" He admits it (why not... she did in fact say it) well, Jane believes that she told him that in privacy and that she knows people talk about her behind her back and that they should have enough nerve to be able to say it to her face, she is a strong green woman and she knows that Amy told her that stuff, she didn't want to know... Alysa wants to slip into the floor and have nothing to do with this discussion so she quietly gets up and starts walking out... Amy, oblivious to what is going on comes in and starts talking to Alysa so she moves outside and tells her very very briefly what is going on. Jane is proceeding to say that the blue bitch is trouble and she knows it and so on
Just to clear up some confusion... I also substituted the words black and white for green and blue just so that we can keep with the same anonymity
Well now it is time to punch in so everyone does -- there is a brief meeting (called a huddle meeting, basically one of the managers in charge Todd, Rick, or Mark tells us (GM stocking team and Grocery team) how sales are doing, how our customer e-panel survey is, where they are cleaning tonight, reminds us to pull ad, things like that. it very brief usually about 5 minutes... Then Mark tells us which section we will be doing that night. i.e. HBC He also asks us if we have any questions....
Jane does - She wants it known that Backstock is supposed to go on the back wall NOT in the aisles. Mark disagrees and says it can go wherever - The person from day crew that is responsible for taking backstock back to the back room APPARENTLY told Jane that it was supposed to go along the wall and that Mark told Jane that as well and that he just isn't holding anyone else to those standards that he set for her... they argue back and forth while the rest of the team members go on to their section of the store
While Alysa begins stocking, she can hear Jane "cornering" Amy and swearing at her... this is 2 aisles over -- Alysa then remembers that she is supposed to pull ad... she starts to pull ad from the opposite way of the "feud" and then remembers she doesn't have trashbags and goes to get one, when she comes back after pulling ad somewhere else in the store because it was asked of her... Jane is walking around swearing about Mark and how he is racist and doesn't make these blue bitches follow the same rules
Her attitude continues for the rest of the night like this
I know, pretty entertaining stuff, but completely real. How childish can people get... I want you to know that this is a full adult woman, probably older than most of our moms and she is talking about a woman that is our age. The only conclusions that I can draw from her constant behavior that is similar to this is that she is bored with her life and needs work drama to entertain herself with. She has strong opinions about God, Jesus, and how people should be, but I think she fails to hold herself up to her own standards. In fact, one of the comments that I heard from her tonight (not directed towards me, she was talking to another girl who was working with us) was that she understands how Jesus felt being betrayed by his own Jewish people.
The biggest problem I have is with her playing the race card... I must admit I am prejudice, in the fact that I do look at and treat other races differently. I do my best to overcome it and I ALWAYS treat everyone with respect and courtesy, but in the area I grew up, I have learned that the race card will be thrown in my face so I watch what I say and how I act. I don't think anyone is any better than anyone else because of the color of the their skin or where they were born or how much money they have. There are really nice green and blue and purple people and then there are really mean green and blue and purple people. I don't think that race had anything to do with any of it today. I'm not nieve I know that sometimes people are racist and that is really sad to me. But it should be certain that race was factor before you throw it all around. I feel like if you use it all the time... it becomes less meaningful and people don't believe it is happening. That is a step backward in society. What if every time a girl was wronged, she yelled rape, or think about sexual harassment and how you can't tell if the person is telling the truth because people use it in their favor all the time. I think this is so incredibly similar. I wanted to say to this woman so much today that It doesn't matter what color she is... she is still a bitch.
I also find it ironic that out of all the people that she really actually talks to on a day to day basis it happens to be ... we'll say Kara. I think you know what I am ultimately saying without having to say it.
Okay thats enough for today
Leave some love
With Kisses
