OTP is like a marriage, really.
I started thinking about OTPs yesterday when I walked home from uni at 10 p.m. [thanks to a frigging movie night thingy for North American Studies. the movies were good-ish, though, thank God]. In my mind I listed parings that have somehow truly affected me as a crazy, little, fangirly person. So, today, instead of concentrating on my Accents of English presentation which is tomorrow, I made a list.

Why the awesomeness: I used to be a huge Casualty fan and a Charlie/Baz shipper <3 Their relationship is typically complicated in a soapy-drama-series sort of way, but everybody knows they're meant to be. After their wedding I was humming "Everlasting Love" for weeks. Probably the first het couple I shipped.

Why the awesomeness: I'll be stoned to death for saying this, but I always preferred Willow/Kennedy over Willow/Tara. I guess it's the opposites attract thing; the chemistry between Willow and Kennedy always appealed to me more. One of the first femslash parings of which I wrote fic. Bad fic, but fic nevertheless.

Why the awesomeness: The chemistry between Ash & Scribbs is a reason enough to watch the show. They are funny, femslashy, hot, everything you could ask for in a paring. I loved this paring right from the beginning, and it sort of became my little project to convert people, heh. I'm happy to say I succeeded!

Why the awesomeness: The best TV het chemistry we've seen in a while. The UST between Booth & Brennan is genuine and hot; the two should totally get it on already. I read B/B fic. And this is coming from a hardcore femslasher. Yes, the paring's that good.

Why the awesomeness: This paring is so amazing that it made me want to take Spanish lessons. It's one of the best lesbian storylines in the history of television, spanning over five seasons [and counting. sort of.]. That and, well, Patricia Vico is the hottest creature ever to walk on this planet.

Why the awesomeness: This paring opened my eyes in so many ways. Nikki & Helen's relationship is genuine, passionate and real, and for once we actually saw a happy ending with a canon paring. British brilliance all around.

Why the awesomeness: I don't think I even need to explain this. Alex/Olivia is one of the most delicious subtexty couples ever. A butch NYPD detective and a blonde lawyer, swapping something else than just case files. What's there not to like? I've consumed so many fics, videos and fanarts it's incredible.

"Just browsing" eBay is never a good idea. Yes, I cracked and bought Season 1 of Criminal Minds. Hehe? It was simply too cheap to pass up. And I've been drooling after the box set since it was released anyway. And I totally need to save, but who cares?
Am I the only one who's totally into the Bette/Jodi thing in The L Word? Really? Okay. There's something in that storyline that has me hooked. The chemistry maybe, or just the plain fact that the two are both absolutely gorgeous. ♥ I'd learn to sign for Marlee Matlin in a heartbeat. Just saying.
