As for Warehouse 13 - best dialogue in TV sci-fi since 1970s Blakes 7 hit its cerebral peak the 1980s (what happened to Servelan? Did Jackie Pierce go off to Africa and still lives in a monkey sanctuary or something esoterical? I adored that woman). Yes, I know B7 was shoestring budget English space-opera (hair-driers and kitchen utensils masquerading as space ships) as opposed to the state-of-the-art English scif-fi tech production going on at the same time in the form of Star Wars... but the dialogue and characterisation was way beyond (no offence to Lucas - I love Star Wars too). W13 is slicker and faster than B7 of course, because everything is faster today (the pace and our reading of screen media has speeded up no end in the last 30 years), but honestly Warehouse 13 is the first TV sci-fi show to match my demanding expectations for wit since those days. I hope it has a very long run.
