Hospital Central is back! I couldn't be happier to, once again, get my weekly dose of Spanish TV crack, but man, the first episode of Season 18 was depressing. It was 80 minutes of death, angst and more death. Oh, and Maca hotness, of course, but that one's kind of a given.
Let's recap the misfortunes (how anyone is still working in this hospital is beyond me):
- Carlos' dad dies.
- Esther wakes up but needs another operation on her brain. Amnesia, here we come!
- Maca's, understandably, brooding over things the entire episode.
- Bea dies. I'm so going to hell for actually feeling vindictive about it. Karma's a bitch.
- The front of the hospital is damaged by an exploding car and one of the Paramedics gets seriously injured as a result.
- One of the twins Claudia is carrying dies.
- Basically all the guest star storylines have an unhappy ending.
- Jacobo is being a complete jerk. Just GDIAF, plz. I really hope Vilches will knock him down a peg or two. Or ten.
The angst! But, while all this was happening around her, Maca still managed to look mighty fine. OM NOM NOM.
Also, the Maca/Claudia friendship = ♥
If Esther wasn't in the picture... What? Like you haven't all thought about it!
And I'm sorry, but if I woke up from a coma/anesthesia and saw these two standing beside my bed, I'd lose consciousness all over again.
I'd think I've died and gone to heaven.
Also, I found it just a tad amusing that Maca's all "You weren't alone when the accident took place, but it wasn't your fault!" to Esther. That's right, Maca. It was your fault for shouting Esther's name at the most inappropriate moment in the history of the universe.
But Maca. How can this woman be so gorgeous? ♥ She makes angsting look hotter than ever.
How can hospital scrubs look this good? *is a puddle on the floor*
Speaking of the show, there's a nice Patricia Vico interview
here about the new season (plus lovely pictures), and a TV interview she did with Antonia Zabalburu a few days ago can be found by clicking
this link. My show it back. *content sigh*
As for other shows, The Forgotten continues with the obvious. Why am I still watching this rubbish?! Oh, wait. The femslash, that's right. They should just cancel the show already and put me out of my misery. But how could I leave it when Candace & Lindsey are eyeshagging like there's no tomorrow?
Indeed. Candace places flowers on the victim's grave (well, the place where they found him) and eyeshagging of the epic kind follows.
What I find the most hilarious is how oblivious the others are. And no one else is looking away from the flowers. LOLz.
Also, hospital shows are apparently in at the moment; just how much am I loving the Callie/Arizona storyline on Grey's Anatomy? A lot, I tell you. Damn, Shonda Rhimes, making me watch this train wreck of a show again. But
Arizona is so darn adorable! Seeing her run to the door to block the chief was hilarious. We're so going to get burned, there's no way this relationship can end well. *hopes against all odds*
Aaaaand there was no new Criminal Minds episode this week, but the preview for next week looks fabulous! As in, we'll obviously be getting some action!Emily.

Kicking down doors and now this? Yep, this show is almost too good to be true.
