Somerfield is cruelly tormenting me and selling
'Frijj' milkshakes for only 50p a bottle. Those bastards. I'm forced to buy several whenever I'm there. Well, it is a source of calcium...
Anyway, CBS finally has a press release up for that upcoming Criminal Minds episode, and now I'm intrigued to say the least. Spoilery musings under the cut.
"Demonology" - Agent Prentiss has a personal connection to one of the victims in a series of deaths with religious overtones, on CRIMINAL MINDS, March 11 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Source Wahhh! Things are getting interesting. First of all, it seems we'll finally get some Emily backstory, because "Young Prentiss" is included in the characters list (given that those scenes aren't cut). Also, I find it interesting that there's apparently some deeper connection between Emily and religion. Second time this season, although
the first was pretty subtle.
We'll probably be taken back to Emily's goth days, since the episode is
also supposed to be about her romantic past - whatever that means (scary!). Given the press release, the much speculated pregnancy/abortion storyline seems a bit far-fetched, but who knows?
Oh well, whatever it is, I'm actually really looking forward to it. Even if there's a high chance of the storyline being completely and utterly disappointing.
Speaking of spoilers, I couldn't help but squeal out loud when I read about
this Bones plot twist (don't click if you don't want to be majorly spoiled) that takes place in the season finale. The show's still very much in the 'Meh' category for me after the whole Gormagon disaster, but...YAY.
And while we're on the subject of television, I need to mention my new fandom discovery. Because I obviously don't have enough of them already. I simply had to check out Lie to Me, a new FOX drama about a group of specialists who can analyse people's facial expressions and tell if they're lying. No, I'm not kidding. I only watched the pilot because of Kelli Williams, aka Natalie from Medical Investigation (I still haven't forgiven NBC for axing that show prematurely), who plays one of the main characters. Well, good for me, because now I'm sort of really into the show. Crap.
Okay, let me start by saying that this show isn't even that good. Yet anyway; we're only two episodes into the season. From a completely objective point of view, the basic idea of Lie to Me seems quite far-fetched, corny, and even ridiculous in some respects (and every now and again I want to kick Tim Roth's character), but I still can't stop watching. I'm so easy when it comes to crime shows.
But anyway. On to the good stuff.
First we have Dr. Gillian Foster (Kelli Williams) who is a psychiatrist and, somewhat ironically, probably the most normal one of the bunch. She is also pretty. Very pretty.
In terms of femslash, there's that tiny, tiny detail that she's married, but it's rather heavily implied in the pilot that her husband is probably cheating on her. Idiot. Who the hell cheats on Kelli Williams?
Right. I digress.
Gillian is very similar to Natalie Durant (Williams' character on Medical Investigation) in many ways, but so far it hasn't bugged me too much. Gillian is actually quite hilarious, and she randomly keeps eating the weirdest things - it's seems like an inside joke of some kind.
It's quite funny, actually.
Right. Then there is Ria Torres (Monica Raymund) whom the firm hires in the pilot, because she has the innate skill to read facial expressions. I know, it's quite ridiculous. Anyway, she used to work in airport security and she's sporting a nice uniform when we first see her. Yum. Yes, it's all about uniforms for me.
Yes, she has that 'strong female' thing going for her.
But, the femslash. Yes, it's only been two episodes, but I can totally see the same thing happening here that took place between Eva & Natalie in Medical Investigation (can you tell I can't let that show go?). Gillian immediately likes Torres, and she's always the one who explains everything to the team newbie.
Also, Tim Roth's character seems to have something against Torrest, so Gillian is constantly defending her to the team leader & giving her encouraging comments. Torres also seems to gravitate towards Gillian whenever possible. It's, umm, interesting.
And then there's the eye shagging. Oh, the lovely, lovely eye shagging. If the show isn't axed after three episodes, the subtext has the possibility of becoming FABULOUS.
The potential is fantastic, I'm just saying.
New episode tonight. It's embarrassing how excited I am. *facepalm*

What is up with the
snow, people? I wasn't really expecting
this. Or
this. They say there should be more tonight, which is so not good. At all. I thought I could avoid the whole disgusting slush phase of winter by staying away from Finland until the end of March, but apparently not so. How lovely.
