All Hospital Central, all the time.

Hospital Central is the best thing since sliced bread. Yes, it is. After much shilly-shallying, Telecinco finally aired the finale episode of Season 17 on Sunday, and damn, was it worth the wait! It was glorious, I tell you, GLORIOUS. ♥ In fact, it was so full of awesome that compiling this picspam without going completely overboard was a lot more difficult a task than I expected.

1. Having a baby is awkward business.

So, Claudia decided to have a baby (long story), and Carlos volunteered to be the baby daddy (even longer story, involving a hilarious scene at the cafeteria [at the 1:40 mark] where they sort out the details of their little contract - with Maca as a referee).

It is awkward.

Especially when today's the day. The day. And Carlos hasn't...done anything in four days as instructed. Yes, it's incredibly awkward.

But oh, I want these two to end up together! They'd make an adorable couple.

2. Maca, the Puppet Master.

Javier is a total asshat and demotes Maca; Héctor is the new ER chief. It was a long time coming, and Maca knew to expect it, but the way Javier does it is totally low. Teresa and Esther rush to the cafeteria to find out if the rumours are true.

All this brings out an interesting characteristic in Maca: whenever she's at a loss/in a difficult situation, she makes jokes and simply plays it cool.

Teresa: Maca! Is it true what they're saying?
Maca: Yeah, it's true.
Esther: What are you going to do?
Maca: No idea, I haven't really thought about it. I'm a pediatrician, work less, I suppose. Do a course in, I don't know, puppet theatre!
[everyone laughs]

I totally cracked up. Maca's quip came so out of left field.

3. Oh, Vero. You're still hot.

She is particularly dashing in this episode.

There's no word yet whether she'll be in Season 17, but at least Carolina Cerezuela still has a year left in her contract with Telecinco. Fingers crossed!

4. Maca & Claudia, BBFs...or something.

They really cranked up the subtext in this episode, my God. First Maca eyes Claudia in a way that implies something highly inappropriate and then proceeds to give her a back rub. And we all remember Maca's track record when it comes to back rubs, don't we?

But that's not enough. Claudia then does her part: her facial expressions tricked me at first, because I thought I was watching porn there for a second.

Like mightbefound said, it looks like Maca's touching something else entirely. Ahem.

5. The 'Hotness Overload' scene.

Yep, the hotness factor's still there when Maca & Vero share screentime. Maybe it's the brunette-blonde dichotomy, I don't know, but something in those two effectively makes my mouth dry up.

Wah, the contrast is delicious. And I love Maca's red shirt.

6. The Moment of Truth.

Claudia sets Maca up with a friend of hers. They have dinner (Maca herself looks edible), during which Maca confesses (after Julia, the date, asks) that yes, she's still in love with someone. Julia encourages her to go and confess her love RIGHT AWAY, and Maca runs out - after downing a glass of wine for courage. It's hilarious.

Anyway, she arrives behind someone's door, and we all hold our breaths (well, ahem, except me, because I spoiled myself way in advance).

It's Esther! Naturally, the episode ends right after the camera has spanned to her (I could bet my right arm that there's a skip in time, and Season 17 begins several months later), but oh, it's still very squee-worthy. I'd kill to see Maca's love declaration, though.

Reconciliation, it's close!

7. Oh, Maca. Why must you be so perfect?

Pissed off!Maca is criminally hot, by the way.

Why don't real doctors ever look like that? Or like this? GUH.

New episodes is March/April. Can. not. wait.

Anyway, since we're on the subject of Hospital Central, there's a nice interview with Caroline Cerezuela (in Spanish) which actually proves that she's probably a rather cool person. I might've been wrong about her.
Also, I was reminded again the other day that she can totally do comedy. Camera Café is the perfect example of this, and this is one of the funniest sketches of the entire show, hands down. Trust me, it's hysterical. "He might be a serial killer!" / "Oh, we all have our defects."

Told you, it's all about Hospital Central today. So, Patricia Vico and Fátima Baeza did a Q&A type of a thing online for the viewers after the season finale, after which they also took the following relationship compatibility test (yes, seriously). It's the funniest two minutes EVER - even if you don't know a word of Spanish. Their facial expressions alone have me in hysterics.

Oh, you lovely, lovely Spanish. ♥
