"Money, money, money // Must be funny // In the rich man's world."

I never have fandom related dreams. But, inexplicably, last night I had a dream where I teamed up with Emily Prentiss in order to save JJ from a bunch of street thugs (dressed in clothes that had to be from the 80s) who resided at my grandparents' house. My subconscious scares me.

Oh my. It's July 18th this coming Friday, and you know what that means: indeed, the premier of Mamma Mia! - a movie that must be the best thing since sliced bread. I have tickets to the first screening of the day; I've only waited 1,5 years to see this. *flails* Seriously, what could possibly be better than Meryl Streep singing "Winner Takes It All", while Pierce Brosnan looks all conflicted?

Season 15 of Hospital Central is creeping closer and closer to the end (three episodes left *sob*), and I'm absolutely convinced that the writers are trying to turn Maca into a bloke. Nothing else explains her behaviour of EXTREME INDECISIVENESS.

I knew this was coming, sooner or later. And, like I've stated so many times before, I actually love it that the writers have made Maca the bad guy of the story, while Vero & Esther are both simply innocent participants.

So yeah. Esther finally brings up the issue of divorce and brings the needed documents to Maca (the reason, she says, is that Pedro will have a better chance to get in a certain educational establishment if he's officially a child of divorced parents). For some weird reason, Maca's actually taken by surprise and obviously hasn't even thought about making their separation official. Maca, you're living with another woman, for God's sake!

Maca then proceeds to shilly-shally for two episodes (finding small things in the documents that should be corrected), pissing off Vero in the process. I'm with Vero, though: I'd be mightily annoyed as well.

Maca, make up your damn mind.

They're also doing the old 'talking and giggling on the phone in a way which creates the impression that there's someone else' routine. Maca's on the receiving end of it.

Vero turns up, interrupting Maca's little moment of observation, so she simply turns her eyes to Vero's chest instead. Say it with me: such a guy.

Esther gives the divorce papers back to Maca in record time. Maca thinks so too:

Esther: Here are the corrected divorce papers.
Maca: [clearly disappointed] Already? Your lawyers are fast.

Maca, you knew your tactic was flawed and wouldn't work for long.

But the end. Maca, what the hell? Backstory: Vero took an exam in Psychology, so that she could get a permanent job at the hospital. She got the third best result of all.

Esther: Hey, do you want me to stay with the kids? [...] So that you can go eat with Vero, because of the results of her exam.
Maca: What's this sudden preoccupation with her?
Esther: [a what-the-hell look on her face] I'm not preoccupied with her.
Maca: And with me?
Esther: [even more incredulous] You know I am.
Maca: Well, you can't really tell.

Esther: Okay, Maca. What's up? Is it because of the divorce papers?
Maca: No, nothing's up with me.
Esther: They're only papers, Maca. It's not important for me why you sign them, okay? [pause] Fine, do what you want, just let me know if you need me.

Esther's for-fuck's-sake eye roll when she turns around sums up my thoughts perfectly.

Oh, Maca. You're such a bitch, but I still don't know how to quit you.

Depressing, I know. That's why I want to wrap up this babble by Carolina Cerezuela's hilarious facial expressions of disappointment (the third best exam result didn't help her much, since there's only one permanent job offered at the hospital):

It's been a while since I've done a gag reel reel vidspam (the best part of any DVD extras, without a doubt), so it's clearly time to do something about that. Prepare to laugh and laugh and laugh and...I think you got the idea.
