*flails* London. Tomorrow. Eeeek!
From a completely objective point of view, this week's episode of Criminal Minds was quite intriguing and actually fascinating. But because I'm lame and shallow, my brain kept shouting "Where's Emily???" every thirty seconds, hence effectively ruining the otherwise perfect viewing experience.
I was lucid enough to make a top10 list, though. Sort of.
General points blah-blah-Old-McDonald-had-a-farm-blah
- Blue Ridge Strangler! I hiked through Blue Ridge Parkway myself last year. Lolz!
- I find it odd that they don't address JJ's pregnancy at all in this episode. The episode last week ended so "dramatically" that I expected something to happen this week. But no. Nada. Zip.
- Did the 2004 BAU team really consist of only three agents? And the flashbacks, as well as JJ's lack of knowledge on the case, makes it look like JJ joined the team only a short while before Elle. Interesting.
1. Oh, my God. She was a goth.
Emily. The gorgeously butchy Emily Prentiss was a goth. I find this so very hysterical for some reason.
Well, I suppose it's not so difficult to believe, since it's been stated before that she was a rebel of some sort as a teenager. Damn, Emily's relationship with her mother must've been interesting back then!
Emily's "screw you" look wins at life.
I'd love to know how much of that photo is actually real and how much was photoshopped.
But awww! Poor Emily. Garcia didn't do any photoshopping. That's quite tragic.
The way she hides the photo in a speed of light when Hotch comes over is giggle-worthy. *g*
2. Morgan. With Hair.
It's quite incredible, really, how different Morgan looks with hair.
And why is he wearing a tie? He never does that anymore.
3. A pathetic attempt to femme Emily up.
So, they put her in a skirt for one scene. And it's literally one scene, because the next time we see her (entering Rossi's office after the hospital visit), she's wearing trousers.
She must have an entire wardrobe stored away somewhere in Quantico. Sheesh.
On a completely unrelated note, then, I love the team aspect of the second pic.
4. It's Kelly! Now, where's Tracey?
Amy Carlson guest starring. Hee!
She's not able to get out of a courtroom, is she?
5. Obvious baby bump is obvious.
JJ's baby bump was more than visible again.
Frankly, it's starting to get slightly unrealistic that the others apparently don't see it (someone surely would address the matter). IT'S RIGHT THERE, PEOPLE.
6. Can you hear my fangirly heart go "awwww!"?
Morgan & Garcia are so adorable. And so sweet that we get to see how they met. ♥
Baby girl. So cute!
Kevin is sweet, but nothing can ever beat Morgan and Garcia together.
7. If you squint hard enough...
...you can even find some femslash. I couldn't possible picspam an episode without including something femslashy(-ish).
Emily really likes looking at JJ. A lot.
8. Profiling iz srs science y'all.
Hotch on the stand = perfection.
The whole 'profiling the opposing counselor' bit was probably a tad unrealistic, but I couldn't help cheering for Hotch anyway.
And amusing cameos continue, the defense lawyer being Bree's first husband (is she married again? I haven't watched since Season 2) from Desperate Housewives.
9. The obligatory 'ogling at Emily' bit.
No picspam is complete without a random segment dedicated to the hotness that is Emily.
And she's wearing red again. Guh! Even the fringe doesn't annoy me as much this week as it usually does.
10. Speculation about next week is mandatory.
Promo of the season finale for your viewing pleasure:

- Emily shouting "We have an officer down". Interesting. The way she says it, it sounds like she knows the person who's been shot. It could be Hotch (doubt it), but it could as easily be the bastard who got JJ pregnant Lamontagne. I'm such a bitch, but I really hope it's him.
- Will asked JJ to marry her. Well, isn't that just lovely? I have a feeling that JJ isn't so happy about it, though. At least, she won't be if they want to keep her in character.
- A lot of Emily voiceover in this one. "Congratulations!"? Oy, that makes me cringe. She'd better go and angst in a corner somewhere afterwards.
- Matthew Grey Gubler said in an interview not long ago (after the strike) that someone will be blown up this season. I bet that's what the last few seconds of the promo are about; the screen showed Rossi, Morgan, Reid and Emily, with Garcia going "Oh, my God", so I'm assuming one of their cars will go boom! It probably won't be Reid's, though, since he's had a million and one things happening to him this & last season.
- In conclusion: do I smell a cliffhanger? *headdesk*
Bones is one of those shows I don't usually read spoilers about. That's why this week's episode was just...aaaaaah! The ending? I so wasn't expecting that. But it, once again, reminded me that Booth/Brennan is such an OTP. Their love is so
epic and
pure! ♥
Londonlondonlondonlondonlondon! Tomorrowtomorrowtomorrow.
Earlier today, I handed in my last assignment for the semester, which means that I'm now officially done with university for the summer. OH, HELL YES. No more essays, assignments or exams for at least three months. I think I might weep.
So, yes. Me and
gabriellemb will be heading for London tomorrow. [insert jubilant flailing here] In all probability, I shall die of fangirling overdose, but Girls Aloud is most certainly worth it.
