I went in kind of side-eyeing the whole idea, but found her to be a lot of fun, actually. She reminded me of 10, but I'm sure she's going to put her own spin on the doctor as she settles in. :)

I'm sure the Doctor would have shown Tim Shaw more respect if he hadn't already shown himself to be an asshat. She was giving him all the respect he deserved and that's what I read in her deliberate mispronunciation of his name.

Agreed, but you don't demonise your enemy by making fun of their ethnicity; that's not why he's the bad guy.

Actually, it kinda is why he's the bad guy, although she didn't know he was from a race of asshats at the time.
