The Amazing Spider-Man

The whole event was a little of disaster. We got 3D tickets which was unnecessary so I stole the 3D glasses to make up for the ticket price. And we got Sprite that was carbonated water. Yeah.

But the movie was good, much better than the first movie from the original trilogy. I loved all the coming of age scenes but I cringed during some of the awkward Peter scenes. Like having Gwen as his desktop background? Was that supposed to be cute because it was just creepy like no no boo boo.

I don't know. I expected more and I only got really excited when I saw Amber Stevens as a bubblegum popping cheer captain. I literally clutched my sister's arm and squealed because I love her! I wish she got to be Flash's awesomely bitchy girlfriend or something. Speaking of Flash, my everything for Flash/Gwen pre-movie fic like cool kid circle since middle school and them slowly crumbling as Gwen grows disillusioned with the popular girl image and Flash gets crueler.

I think the reason I truly wanted to see this movie was because I was sure there would be a Mary Jane cameo in the post credits obligatory scene. I was wrong and maybe relieved? I'm weary of who they'll cast especially with Tumblr casting every basic white girl they can. And ever since I found an article that said Jurnee Smollett would make a good Spider love interest, I've been obsessed with a WOC!Mary Jane Watson. It would never happen but I want it!

Overall TASM just made me want the sequel really bad because all my MJ/Peter/Gwen feelings, which are long and I'll probably explain when I fancast my MJ.
