Eeee! There's Bob Dylan! :D I like your dad's taste in music, even if I didn't recognize some. :D

1) I can't remember the title, but I'm pretty sure that's Aretha Franklin.

2) No clue.

3) Like a Rolling Stone, by Bob Dylan. *GLEE*

4) Mercy Mercy Me, by Marvin Gaye.

5) I'm positive it's Jimi Hendrix. I'm nowhere near so sure about the title, but I want to say Judy In the Sky.

6) Darn it, I know the song very well, and cannot for the life of me remember the title or artist. I do, however, remember a Tiny Toons skit where Buster sang it to Babs. :p

7) Not at all sure, but it sounds like Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, and I want to say the title is The Jolly Green Giant or something like that. I might just be off my rocker, though. :p

8) Dance to the Music, I think. Can't remember the artist.

9) Sounds like Pink Floyd to me. Have no idea about the title.

10) Woolly Bully, Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs. Their one hit. :p

Bonus - You Really Got a Hold On Me, by Smokey Robinson (I remember that Sesame Street skit, too. :p )

7. 1 point for the title, but this was actually The Kingsmen (of Louie, Louie fame)
8. 1 point
9. Nope
10. Yup! 2 points

Bonus. Yup! And yay for someone remembering this skit! 2 more points!

Addendum:

1) (You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman?

8) The year doesn't seem right to me, but I'm wondering if the Dave Clark Five recorded that song at some point? Still not sure, though. :p

8. The Dave Clark Five didn't record this song, but they did record #5, so I'm wondering if this is a typo?

Sorry, that *was* a typo ;) They recorded #6, not #5...

#1: (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin.

#3: I’ve heard this on the radio, I think, but I don’t know it.

#4: Aha, I recognize these lyrics. It’s What’s Going On and I know (and have) the version recorded by an All Star Tribute (featuring artists such as Destiny’s Child, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, N’Sync, U2...) which was recorded for raising awareness for AIDS in Africa and money for the 9/11 fundraiser. I think the original is by Marvin Gaye?

#9: Smoke On The Water - Deep Purple. (*headbangs wildly*)

And that's about all I can figure out.

See ya,
Anna.

Waaah! I'm 60s-illiterate!!

The only one I know is 3, Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan.

That's okay, I wouldn't have gotten a lot of these, either :) Two points!

1. I had to sing along for a while to finally figure it out. It's Aretha Frankling with (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.

4. What's Goin' On. I am mostly familiar with the version that was done a few years ago, but if you say this version is from early seventies, I think it's by Marvin Gaye.

6. Dirty Dancing!!!!!!! Now I'm in the mood to watch this tonight, instead of Crossroads, which is on the tv. Not a bad idea. *g* Anyway, it's Do You Love Me by The Contours.

7. No clue. But ewwwww! Don't think I'll ever like this song if it mentions the one vegetable that I absolutely dislike.

As for a guess on the bonus song, I haven't heard it before, I think... but I think it's done by The Beatles. Wild guess though!

6. I don't remember this in Dirty Dancing, but it is indeed Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance) by The Contours :) 2 points!
7. Aww, but it's such a great song!
Bonus. Good guess, but no ;)
