Well, I started my new (new) job this past week, and so far things seem to be going pretty well. The process seems to be more organized and more supervised, if that makes any sense... I think someone would probably notice and/or help if I were unable to accomplish something. People seem to have a bit more fun, and the office environment is much

I definitely miss working with you, too... both on the management side and in the more technical aspects. I bet that coding with you would be absolutely incredible. By the way, they finally did away with our old job. I found that out the other day... it made me sad. :(
Construction has only gotten worse... two weeks ago our house flooded, twice, because the guy decided to take a vacation in the middle of redoing the roof, and only left a tarp on. Now our ceiling is partially caved in, we can't use the fan in the living room, and the wood floor in the entry way is buckled. I try not to think about that too much. Luckily, now that I'm working 9-10 hours a day, I haven't had too much time to be depressed about the house.
Sorry if this sounds depressing... everything is really pretty good. Eric's a dream, and we're having a great time together. My job is decent, the people are nice, and all is going well in general. It's just late at night after a very long day in the office, and I'm allowing myself to be a touch cynical.
Hope everything is going really well with you too!

the thing that made managing/supervising the job in hawaii for me was that i worked with such great people who, beside being great friends, were great workers that i could trust to do an exemplary job. if you have the technical ability they lack and are stuck juggling the desire to complete the task with the requirement to do the admin stuff/busy work, it's easy to see why you'd be dissatisfied.
hey, since you're managing, i'm guessing you may have an in with those higher... wanna hook me up? i'd put up with living in hawaii if it meant i didn't have to do any more linguistic work and could actually get into computers! well, watcha think ol' buddy, ol' trainer, ol' boss? /me does the groucho mark's eyebrow thing
it's good to hear that you and eric are still doing so well, even with the added stress of house construction and different jobs.
